Merlin Mason 2 D3O Waterproof Jeans - Black

I’m not the tallest guy (5’ 9” wearing short length trousers/jeans/chinos normally). Also got big thighs because, well, pies and no exercise.

These jeans fit, I’m wearing a 40” waist rather than my usual 38” due to my thighs not getting in to the 38”’s - they may have gone but would have been too tight for comfort.

Happy with the way they fit with a belt to cinch in the waist. The zip on the back connects to my Merlin jacket, the armour sits in the right places and isn’t intrusive at all.

Styled nicely - won’t be obviously out of place in the office.

Recommended, will buy 38”’s when I stop eating pies

My first motorbike, and thus clothing. So far impressed by the Merlin kit of got (jacket, jeans, boots)

I think these jeans are great,the waterproofing has been excellent so far for me and I've been caught in a few downpours, the fit is very comfortable but I did go up one size from my normal jeans,which I only did because of previous reviews but I think they are true to size. The armour makes them less bulky and you can wear them for ages and not get uncomfortable, great jeans highly recommend.

I've had to use a belt because they don't make it in my waist size, but that's a me issue - they feel really comfortable and warm, and the waterproofing on them so far has been top notch. Haven't been caught out in a torrential downpour yet but it's been fine for the usual amount of rain.

The waterproofing seems good to me - I haven't been out in seriously bad rain with them yet, but they have helped I've worn them.
The markdown is for sizing, they feel to me like they come up a little small, so I'd recommend going a size up - especially because the waterproofing drastically affects the breathability, so although the size I got fits but is a little snug, I'd rather just get wet on a day where it's warm and raining because of how tight they are.
I think going a size up would allow some more room to breath.
