Excellent bit of kit

I was pleasantly surprised by this intercom, I’ve been a Packtalk user for 10 years but decided to try this as it’s integrated into my new Nexx helmet. Relatively easy to fit and pleasantly surprised by the quality of sound from the speakers, easy to use on the fly and the app is simple but works.

Got this with my Nexx X.Lifetour helmet.
Fits well and there are plenty of installation vids online to show you how it should be fitted.
Took me a while to figure out the buttons to navigate the menus but got the hang of it after a while.
The voice command feature works great, and the speakers and mic are the clearest I have ever had.

It’s ok but….

Comparing this to my Sena s5 fitted to an Arai x4. Fitting and cable management is perfect though it took me a while to work out the mic went in the brow line of the helmet. I have this fitted to a Wed 3 which is a noisy helmet anyway. It’s just not quite loud enough and at speeds over 60 it makes it a wash of wind noise and the occasional music. I haven’t connected it as an intercom yet however taking calls the voice is easy to hear compared to music. Still getting used to the buttons definition lately not as intuitive as the wheel on the s5. If you have a compatible NEXX it makes sense to get one but you won’t be blown away.

I got the Harlow store to fit it. Quite straight forward to connect to your phone and another sena device.
Crystal clear sound quality from your phone when speaking and listening to music and sat nav.
The microphone and antenna being fitted into the top of the helmet is a great idea

A great intercom for my NEXX helmet

I bought the NEXX intercom to go with my NEXX helmet as it had been designed for it and my existing Cardo would not easily fit this new helmet. Once it was all fitted behind the helmet padding and clipped into the purpose made pockets all the wires were tidy, hidden and very neat. I could not pair it with my TomTom at first but the Sportsbikeshop helpline was a great help and I was missing a step to get to the GPS pairing function.
Only done a few short rides so far but it all works well and is connected to my Phone, TomTom and my now spare Cardo unit, which I can lend to a friend on rides out next year.

Really like the way that there is a designated root for all the wiring, speakers and battery on nexx helmets. The nexx com fits in nicely to the side of the helmet discreetly . As for the instructions, down loading the app and trying to find them in the list of coms was another thing. ( Sena app) You have to use the search icon which then brings up nexx coms after that it was ok . I who like to say a big thanks to the young assistant at Harlow he helped me alot and between us we got it up and running. If your a bit more tec minded you'll be ok.
