Verified Customer Reviews for Akrapovic Exhaust
Worthwhile up grade easily achieved and rewarding
15 April 2016 by Colin M
My Kawa Z1000SX (15) is Candy Fire Red in colour. It took me a few days of deliberation as to whether to opt for the Carbon or Titanium Akrapovic slip on's. I went Carbon and I was not disappointed. They fitted in really well with the dark frame and the Candy Fire Red paintwork. They arrived in true Sportsbikeshop time...although I was a bit concerned as the carriage box was a bit chewed up. A quick inspection and the cans were fine. Now, I ain't no mechanical genius, and the good news is...you don't have to be to fit these bad boys. Before delivery I read the fitting instructions on the Akrapovic website (full fitting instructions come with the cans for your model). Took me about an hour as these fellas ain't cheap and was being careful. Couldn't believe the weight in the stock cans compared to the Carbon. They really are a quality product. I am still a bit of a novice biker, but as soon as I took to the road the first thing I noticed was how light the bike felt and as it warmed up the power seemed to be getting fed in more smoothly. It's early days, but looking forward to finding out if my assessment is correct. A worthwhile purchase and a recommended one.
