Advice & Guides You can’t take two helmets on a trip, can you? Oh wait, maybe you can…
This helmet works for me. Anyone reading motorcycle equipment reviews, especially of helmets, will likely know that we may want to wear a range of different brands but sometimes not brands fit. And we all know that safety and fit are some of the most important and deciding factors when choosing a helmet.
This is my second HJC helmet and clearly I have a head shape that fit the brand or perhaps the other way round.
Anyhoo. This is a seriously light helmet weighing in at 1500 grams which is pretty much 25% lighter than my previous HJC.
Everything works as it should do and that's good for me as I prefer an 'up n over' modular helmet style. There's nothing about it that is loose, cheap or flimsy or feels liable to break. The internal drop down sun visor operates smoothly and quickly without fuss and all in all, I find it is a very comfortable helmet. I feel the need to mention that I tried on probably a dozen or more helmets before choosing this one and can vouch for the patience, product knowledge and high level of customer care of the staff at the Bristol store.
And finally, and apologies if this sounds rather shallow, but this is is a seriously good looking and stylish helmet. If you buy one, be prepared to get people asking you about it.
The photo shows a side view of the helmet with a Sena bluetooth control at the bottom.
As above. Quality item
I like this helmet more and more each day.
It is very secure and feels very nice when you wear it.
I was using another brand for over 6 years and decided to try it, I didn’t regret at all.
The flip over works really well - good weight distribution and easy mechanism.
The lightness of the helmet is great.
Looks and feels stylish.
Only criticism is that the internal sun visor does not come down enough - even with the minimal adjustment feature!
Yrah as it says. Really comfy. The flip front works well and it's very quiet compared to my old helmet.
Glad i bought it. Also decent price as well.
What a difference this has made. I previously used another flip style helmet which gave me nothing but issues. I found it very loud with wind noise and cheap. This however is completely different. Very quiet, so much so that when an earplug falls out (like the do), you can still complete the ride and not be deafened. It feels solid and well made. The sun visor covers your full field of vision unlike my last one. The weight difference is also very noticeable. My mate has now ordered one on my recommendation.
The HJC 11B and 21B are both compatible with the F100 helmet.
Find it cheaper at any major motorcycle accessory retailer, online or in-store and we‘ll match it.
