Advice & Guides If it feels like armour in your bike kit then the law demands it is actually proper, protective armour. Here's how to tell how effective your impact protection is...

Had the Andes V3 and although not 100% waterproof it did me well for 7 years so I thought the V4 would be the ideal replacement upon first look and try on it seemed good but when wearing it in anger for the first time its flaws show , the new cuffs are a bit of a faff sort of odd and get in the way putting gloves over them , then there’s the pockets the side pockets are a zip ( old ones Velcro flap ) and are a real pain to do up with gloves on whilst wearing as you have to keep the zip straight but there at an angle so it’s not easy except for the one napoleon pocket which is quite small. The inside pockets are just mesh and I wouldn’t trust anything valuable in them. It is however quite comfy and warm with the liner in . Not tested in rain yet but hopefully it will be as good as v3
Fits really well. Warm, waterproof…so far.
One issue small issue…front zip can be tricky undoing around neck area.
