Advice & Guides You'd be surprised how many riders wear a helmet that's too big for them. Here's how to tell if a lid really fits you...
I really wanted to like this helmet. A modular with no locking visor (I hate those), a sunvisor that drops really low and covers your whole field of view, decent pinlock, great looks and seemed to be widely regarded as fairly quiet. The fit was good for my glasses and there is plenty of space to easily fit my Cardo.
I tried on 4 of them while trying to pick a size and colour I didn't like, and the variation in quality and feel between them was wild. One the flip mechanism made an audible click in place, another not and felt loose. One had a crazy stiff release button while the others were nice and easy. The worst was two of them, both exactly the same size but in different colours, but one fit like a glove while the other was quite painful. That makes no sense to me...
Then when one arrived with an already broken sunvisor I realised I just didn't trust this brand at all any more. Not sure if they have a quality control problem or what, but I won't be trying Nexx again after that.
The only plus is SBS's wonderful service as always. They never complain when I constantly order stuff to the stores and don't buy them because I'm fussy and find fault. They don't bat an eyelid at me returning things I'm not happy with as long as I do so in a resalable condition. I've been buying with them for years and I'd never go anywhere else unless I had to.
New brand to me .It fits great ,visor seals excellent in the heavy rain recently, sun visor works really well as it's a direct operation. The visor has nice secure incriminating movement so you can crack it open a little or a lot . Surprisingly quiet in comparison to other flip helmets. Its slick through the air so it's extra weight is not really noticeable .Overall very well finished.Only 1 thing stopped it getting 5 stars and thats the plastic button that opens the flip front looks very brittle so only time will tell on that one.The interior cheeky pads do need a little use to settle in .The air flow and ventilation are very good without making cold spots on the top of your head ,so very pleased with that .Impressed
Love this helmet, got it with the XCOM3 intercom, and it came with a pin lock in the box.
Cheek pads can be a bit hard at first, but give after a couple of rides.
