After years of melting on hot days I decided to upgrade to a mesh jacket, after a lot of research I decided on this great looking jacket from RST. The lining had been down sown incorrectly when I tried it on so that you couldn't get your arm through. The sportsbikeshop team took a lining from another new jacket and swapped it as this was the last one in my size and colour.. great service. The jacket itself is brilliant it's warm enough first thing and and let's you breath rest of the day. You look good and smell good..

I bought this for the rising temperatures as the weather gets better. It is really well ventilated. Riding through central London in 20 degrees weather, even in slower speeds it feels like you are not wearing a jacket at all, just a t shirt. I have put all the armour in, level 2 back, level 2 chest (it takes D30 viper) and it comes with level 2 shoulder and elbow armour, and it is still exceptionally breathable.
Regarding sizing, as others have noted with other RST jackets go up one size. This has fitting straps to tighten the jacket around the arms and waist.
All in all I am pleased with this jacket as my summer jacket. It's AA rated so acceptable for my uses, and has level 2 armour throughout. Construction seems good. I think at this price point it is most likely among the most breathable and safe jackets available.
