If it feels like armour in your bike kit then the law demands it is actually proper, protective armour. Here's how to tell how effective your impact protection is...
Replaced the level armour in Klim Marrakesh trousers and was a perfect fit. Feels much more robust. Very happy.
Usual great service from SBS.
Bought to upgrade protector in Revit trousers; fitted perfect and comfortable. A much stronger protector giving greater reassurance.
Thinner than expected and mould well with body heat so very happy with upgrade.
Replacing standard armour is something that is really worth doing and replacing it with Forcefeild's thin, flexible armour is a great way to make your riding safer and more comfortable. Really worth doing.
After buying a Forcefield back protector and being very impressed with it I wanted to upgrade my other armour too. Despite my textiles being quite old the armour went straight in and I'm so glad I swapped it after seeing what was in there originally.
Obviously hope I don't have a crash, but fits nicely into most of my alpine star riding jeans
I was using Covec armour in my riding jeans which is very comfortable, but unfortunately becomes hard and brittle in the colder months and I've snapped at least one per year just from wearing them.
Decided to upgrade to something that would cope better through the lower temperatures and came across these. Tested to CE 2 T- (-10C) these should tolerate my winter commuting while remaining useful and comfortable.
They sit comfortably in my jeans, a little stiff but should break in just fine. Walking around in them feels better than the Covec I had in, so that's a bonus!
All in, so far a perfect upgrade in terms of comfort and usablilty vs Covec, hopefully I never find out what they're like in a slide, but being CE 2 they should be excellent.
As always, great service from SBS, have never had reason to fault them!
Great upgrade for my riding jeans! These are a bit stiff but once they warm up a little they become very comfortable. For level 2 protectors these are less bulky than the protectors that came with the jeans (level 1). They conform really well to the shape of the knee. Really pleased and would highly recommend.
Was concerned that these are hard / inflexible, needn't have been. Once they warm a little they soften up and are a massive improvement comfort (and safety wise) over my original armour.
Top service from SBS as expected
This product is great. So much softer, and therefore more comfortable, to wear than the older type 1 armour. Just be careful tho... The knee armour in my riding jeans is very unconformable because it's so stiff. So I bought this new, softer armour to solve the problem. What could go wrong? Turns out the Knox armour in my jeans isn't in a pocket but is is held in with velcro. I've just used these in my fabric, riding trousers instead and they're great.
Forcefield's Isolator 2 offers the best CE level 2 protection whilst maintaining low weight and minimal size. Knee armour is supplied in pairs.
