Always bought Alpinestars kit. Wanted to try something different. Really pleased with this. Fit is nice. Well made. Looks great. My only niggle would be the zip pockets. Quite tricky to zip up n down easily. But its a minor thing.

Not enough pockets

Great jacket fully waterproof and a lot warmer than a Rukka one that I bought. Criticism is that it only has 2 pockets!!!
This is a real drawback, no insure pocket to put your phone or wallet.
Otherwise a good jacket.

Balanced Jacket with good features

This is an honest review after 2 long days riding on a sport touring bike.
Jacket fits well the arms are long enough for a man not a T-rex double zip on front is easy to operate even with gloves. Collar is high enough to cover a mid layer without choking, good amounts of velcro for different size necks or scarf. Waist strap adjusts nicely as does arm. Lower body elastic cinches without bulging jacket.

Coldish and wet- 5 deg very early morning sealed well allowed for a mid layer and base layer without being restrictive(ditched the fitted liner) velcro at wrists allowed for warm gloves and held tight. Moderate rain for an hour stayed perfectly dry.

18 deg and sunny wed 18 March- vents open and mid layer ditched there is enough space in the jacket for air to circulate without feeling baggy. The arms do this weird thing where the zip covers kinda arch in the cold i thought this was annoying in the hot it holds those vents open which is amazing at letting air through the sleeves. Magnetic holders at the collar keep the chest and neck vent open easy and operation even when riding is a cinch. Jacket was comfortable to ride throughout

2 questionable features that do not detract for me. The quilted liner is newspaper thin however modern riders should use a mid layer(destination jacket) theyre a better solution any day. The velcro at the wrists when fully wide open they dont hold you have to pull it across a cm which means you cant have it fully open at the wrists but there is still enough for plenty of ventilation with sports gloves. This is the 10th jacket i have tried this year to find something that will be an all purpose jacket for touring and its the best of the bunch even considering competition with £1000 jackets. I own 3 other jackets and have been riding 25 years in all weathers and I already know this will be my go to jacket in a week of ownership.

Oxford does it again with an excellent laminated jacket with all the bells and whistles for half the price of your big budget brands like Klim etc…
Great fit and too many extras to list and they all work as they should. Confirms Oxford as the premier UK brand as the go to supplier of apparel.

The Hinterland 2.0 is crafted for adventure riders with a sporty spirit, combining cutting-edge climate adaptability with sleek, distinctive design. If you're seeking reliable waterproofing with an aggressive edge, look no further.

The acclaimed DRY2DRY® Trilaminate fabric of the original Hinterland, delivers impressive performance with 10,000mm waterproof and 10,000g/m2/24hrs breathability ratings. Oxford's Trilaminate construction bonds three layers of fabric: a durable nylon outer for protection, a waterproof and breathable membrane, and a soft tricot lining to enhance durability and comfort. An additional C0 (eco-friendly) DWR finish creates a hydrophobic surface, causing water to bead and roll off effortlessly.

The Hinterland 2.0 features a half-placket design over the centre zip, enhancing wind and water resistance at critical areas while maintaining flexibility at the lower half of the jacket. When ventilation is needed, the placket folds back and magnetically fastens open using only one hand. Unzipping the centre zip reveals an abrasion-resistant MAXFLOW vent panel that channels airflow along the jacket's length. This, combined with direct ventilation zips on the forearms and a rear exhaust vent, ensures effective air circulation throughout.

Certified to CE AA standards, the Hinterland 2.0 is reinforced with TPU shoulder sliders for added protection. CE Level 2 protectors are included at the shoulders and elbows, with height-adjustable elbow pockets allowing for a customised fit.

Despite its streamlined profile, the Hinterland 2.0 offers generous storage. Two large side pockets with expandable gussets complement a spacious rear box pocket, all secured with water-resistant zips. Fit and adjustability are ensured by hook-and-loop straps at the biceps and waist, with a draw cord-adjustable hem to block out drafts. Drawcord with Eyeloks (locking eyelets) at the rear of the collar allow for neck opening adjustments, preventing wind chill and rain from entering.

The Hinterland 2.0 seamlessly blends rugged performance with refined design, delivering versatile protection, comfort, and style for adventure riders who demand the best in any condition.
