Cleaning your bike is not like cleaning any old piece of metal (thankfully). These five gloops will help you restore that shine and pride
Customers found the Oxford RainSeal Waterproofing Spray to be effective at restoring waterproof qualities to their riding gear. It was easy to apply, left no staining, and improved water beading. Some found it a bit expensive as the bottle didn't last long, and one noted their jacket still leaked in heavy rain. Overall, most were pleased with the product's performance, stating they'd buy it again and appreciating its convenience.
Bought principally to reproof my bike covers, which is recommended every 6 months. This time I ordered extra to reproof my textile jacket.
Disappointed in this product, applied per instructions on dainese textiles, didn't work for me, tested in heavy rain whilst on tour in Spain, kit soaked
So returned home from a very wet ride and I was uncomfortably wet under my jacket and around my boys department. I purchased the Oxford rain seal as I wanted a spray on not wash in waterproofer. Very next ride was identical in weather and I was very much drier than the previous one. Water beading now apparent on the textiles. It also looked a lot newer.
So 4 stars cos not totally dry but very good. A bit expensive as used whole bottle on jacket and trousers and don't know how long it will last. However, I would buy again.
Applied product to various jackets with instant results. Takes a little bit of technique to apply but once that's easily figured out easy peasy
I used the Oxford rainwear on my textile Jacket and trousers for my trip to Scotland NC500, after 20mins of heavy rain I could feel the water getting through.
Disappointed.
Reproofed my riding gear ready for a 3 day trip. Tested by using watering can to check, no rain on trip !!
Bought a couple of sprays to redo my bike covers when needed.
Out of interest, used some on a rather old walking jacket. Applied as directed, seems to work fine.
I purchased this Oxford Rainseal Waterproofing spray to spray onto my Oxford jacket and textile trousers, in advance of a trip around Scotland in May '23. Great service by Sportsbike shop as always. You simply spray the Rainseal onto your clean textiles and let it dry out. My textiles soaked up the Rainseal with ease, There was enough in the bottle to spray my jacket and trousers twice. I can't comment on the performance yet, I've not been caught out in the rain, but hopefully it will be up to the job. can't really see there being any problem. Hence the 4 stars at the moment.
Very pleased with this product, really easy to apply and it works well
Applied easily, water beading well again. No claims about PFAS so unclear if this contains any.
Sadly when the order originally arrived the packaging was all wet. I thought it was from the rain, however when I opened it up I found that the top of the bottle was loose and three quarters of the bottle had leaked out.
I reported this to SBS and they were great told me not to bother posting back to them and sent a new bottle out the same day.
I ha e used the product and so far it seems to be working well. I used it on an RST fabric jacket that seemed to leak in really heavy rain.
Since applying the spray I have only been caught out in rain once but this was for around 3 hours and the jacket stated dry the whole time, so result. Not sure how long the protection will last for, will monitor and update if there are any issues
Works really well. Washed my kit, dried for a few days then sprayed this all over and left for another few days to make sure as Oxford say to leave for 24hr before use. I got caught in a downpour the other day and very happy to have regained the waterproof qualities the suit had before I washed it.
Kept me dry in the rain what more do I need to say
Easy to apply. Seems to be waterproof!
Did both fabric motor cycle jacket and trousers with the Oxford rainseal waterproofing. One bottle did two applications to both items. Rain just rolls off the garments, excellent product
As an all weather rider I like to stay dry when riding! The Oxford RainSeal Waterproofing Spray. Did a great job of turning my tired old Lewis jacket back into a waterproof jacket again. A great product.
Easy to apply with no smell or sticky ness.
applies really well to textiles, doesnt leave a white residue like some other brands, one bottle did 2 x large textile motorcycle jackets, and one pair textile trousers. I used a sponge to to work in to all the zip areas etc.
Find it cheaper at any major motorcycle accessory retailer, online or in-store and we‘ll match it.
