Oxford Bar Weight 255g - Carbon Steel Matt

Wanted to replace some sun bleached cheap bar ends that came on my bike, wanted some clean looking black bar ends, these have a nice weight to them and the finish is great. Make the bike look much cleaner, and come with two different sizes for fitting to different handle bar sizes.

Looks good and they have great weight to them.

Unfortunately on the bike I’ve put these on (Honda CB1000 Hornet SP) you can’t tighten the right side bar end at all due to the expanding bolt, it makes the throttle stick. I have the bolt fully backed out now and if the bike vibrates the end clockwise enough, even then there’s resistance at the beginning of the stroke so you’re regularly spinning the bolt back out whilst riding. Could spell disaster if the throttle stuck at the wrong moment.

I can’t say what “style” the throttle tubing is but best to avoid if your bike shares one.

Other than that they’re great, I’ll try to look for a solution but other than putting the OEM’s back in, there probably isn’t one.
