Carpuride W712D Smart Riding Display System

Unfortunately, I had to take the first unit back to the shop as it stopped working after a week and the day before I was leaving on a bike tour to Ireland! No problems with the replacement although I do struggle to use the touch screen effectively with my gloves on.

I loving the large screen and the use of both front and rear cameras together with the use of maps at the touch on the screen
Very responsive blue tooth connection I can also control my music via the touch screen
After a recent trip to Austria I discovered that my phone and charger were not waterproof this was my new investment as soon as I returned to the uk
I read up on it on the ferry , placed my order with sportsbikeshop and my order was delivered when I got home and before I managed to get my washing done

Great product and got during a sale….so that’s a bonus!
Purchased as a rear view camera as I did a mirror delete.
Dashcam functions and CarPlay are a bonus for me and I do use them. The unit works great, is easy to use and fairly easy to fit.
Screen is easy to see (even in full sun) and footage both on-screen and downloaded is clear and comes with sound also, handy if you have an incident.
Handlebar mounted controls are easy to use with gloved hands. I struggled to find a place to put this on my GSXR, so have 3M taped it to the top yoke….still deciding if that’s the final place but it works for now.
CarPlay connected easily and has worked flawless.
Touch screen works with my leather gloves fine, but once on the move you should only need the handlebar control.
Probably the only real negative is that the system is not switched to the ignition so will stay on when you turn off the bike and you forget to turn off the screen; it could drain the battery. I got an Oxford relay fuse box for £25, it has 4 outlets so have 3 spare for other accessories.
Overall a great product, good features, clear easy to see screen and high quality footage from the cameras.

After buying my first Carpuride it developed some issues that it was rebooting itself few times on mybbdaily commute. Called SBS and returned the faulty item. Unfortunately it was over a month of purchase so they sent it to manufacturer and I was given an option to get refund or replacent unit.
I decided to replace it and present unit works without any fault. I can definitely recommend it and the service from SBS.
