INNOVV K6 Dashcam

Installed on a Yamaha FZ6 S2. I like how compact and neat the cameras look and the quality of footage you get from them. This provides some piece of mind that if you did have an accident that was not your fault, you have evidence. It’s also great for rewatching back footage to bore others with your “professional” riding skills. The camera cables are more than long enough to position where ever you want them and you get a couple of mounting bracket options. I mounted the front just under the main headlight and the rear above the number plate light, below but in between the exhaust pipe ends.


What I disliked or found not so smooth: The cables for the power box are not so long. This means that wherever your battery is located, you best have some space around it for the small power box. My battery is at the front under the tank with very little space so the box is stuck to the top of the battery cover. My initial idea was to have it under the seat but, as I say, the power cables won’t reach (the camera cables accommodate wherever the box goes so not all bad). However, you do not need access to this box once installed so no biggie. I wired the ACC wire to the front light (check with a multimeter which one to connect to. Make sure you’re connecting to a cable that only becomes live once ignition is turned on). For this bit, it would have been beneficial for a wire tap to be provided. Make sure your cables do not end up in the ‘pinch’ zone when you turn the steering full lock - I almost fell foul of this. Excess cables need to be tucked away which is obvious but there is a lot of excess cable! The rear camera on my bike was the fiddliest - due to my bike having the exhaust under the seat and tail, I had to buy a high temp cable protection sleeve from Amazon as the cable passes directly under the exhaust back box. I then had to remove the licence plate light and drill a small hole for the mounting bracket screw along with having to slightly file down the plastic at the cable entry point between the exhausts to pass the plug through. No biggie but I would have the bike that’s the least straight forward. Never mind. I also had to spend a further £60 on an SD card for dash cams. I bought a Samsung Pro Endurance 256GB for extra storage space.


Happy with the end result though!

The cameras quality is quite good and is working. Video files are are good but no I am getting electrical interference noise on my video files. Maybe it’s because of direct power to battery or need a noise suppression power supply. Wish the usb cable was longer as could have tested it that way too see if interference was still there.
I found the kit very easy to install and setup.

Glad I bought this dash cam as it is easy fit to a motorcycle. Comes with multiple fixings. Easy set up and good video quality. Once again 5 stars for Sportsbikeshop for lightning fast delivery and prices.

As usual l bought this from SBS as the service is always 5 star.
With a small amount of knowledge of motorcycles and help from on line videos it was quick and easy to fit.
The brackets etc with the product gave plenty of options for installing in various positions.
The most time consuming part was deciding a suitable route for the cables where they would be inconspicuous and not trapped anywhere.
