The label inside your boots will tell you about what tests they've gone through, and how they did. Here's how to decipher those labels for yourself...
While untested due to Ice and storm Eowyn I have to say how impressed I am with Sportsbikeshop service in turning my return due to upping the boot size request! Well done!
The boots are sturdy and comfortable…walking around in them to break them in a bit…can't wait to try them in the rain!! Other positive reviews prompted me to purchase!
Came off my bike first day of wearing these. The bike would have crushed my foot / leg if not wearing these or similar boots. They are very sturdy and very comfortable. They saved my foot and only broke a buckle which I have now replaced for pennies. Best motorcycle boots I have had. 100% recommend, affordable, super comfy and very well armoured if you should be unlucky enough to need it. Thank you Alpinestars and Sportsbikeshop Leeds.
Great boots. Brilliant clips - no more worries about zips and Velcro wearing out.
I'm normally a size 11UK/45 and these are a perfect fit at 45.5
Toe boxes are roomy but slightly deeper than my Daytonas, so a slight adjustment of my brake pedal was needed.
I don't think I have ever spent so much on a pair of boots, but these really do seem to be worth the investment. Sizing is maybe a little small. I usually take a 7/41, but I needed an 8/42 in these. They're a very neat and snug fit, but that's part of what you want with boots like these. I like the very sturdy buckles, which feel like they'll last forever, and I like the fact that there's no fiddly zip to faff with or break. First class service from the Milton Keynes branch, who got two pairs in "next day" for me to try on. Wore them from the shop (put my old boots in the skip on the way out). Absolutely monsoon level rain from there to Nottingham, but my feet stayed dry and comfortable all the way. Off the bike that day I then had a 4 hour train journey and then a two mile walk home, all of which were fine, even though the boots are still needing breaking in properly. One thing I did notice was that initially they are so stiff that it was quite an effort to flex my ankle in them enough to get my toe under the gear-lever. However, after an hour or so they were starting to ease a little, so I think that the answer is more wearing in rather than needing to adjust the lever.
Happy to give these five stars on the basis of their performance so far.
Nice boots. Very comfortable and well made. Ordering another pair soon
Great boots strong and well made, a nice comfortable fit, easy to fasten and walk in. They feel good and give me a lot of confidence.
Comfortable from day one and they get better as they ware in,
They are A/Star quality, a Medium boot with easy and quick quality fasteners, nice sturdy soles with great grip, not yet ridden in the rain but I have in the cold weather and they are toasty , I have no doubt they are waterproof, I went for a size larger , great boot , I'm very happy, not a bad price either for what you get ,
What an amazing set of boots, comfy and so nice to ride and walk in
Comfy, robust, well made, well designed, waterproof. Totally appropriate, fit for purpose, footwear for a road bike, and not uncomfortable when walking round off the bike. What you would expect from Alpinestars. Good service from Sportsbikeshop too.
I needed adventure style boots that was practical for everyday commuting. I own the Alpinestars Toucans which are great but not very practical for everyday use. These Alpinestars Belize boots are perfect, comfortable and just fit so well. They also feel great when walking around. I've used them in heavy downpour my feet were warm and dry. Very impressed with them so far…
I called Sportsbikeshop for some advice and watched a lot of reviews before getting these boots. They are perfect, easy to take on and off and extremely comfortable. They have taken some time to soften up but that was expected. The quality of the boots is great, very well made. As always, great service for the store, swapping for a larger size initially was no problem.
Tried many pairs of touring and similar adventure styled boots from other manufacturers, nothing came close to the fit of these from Alpinestars. The combo of Velcro round the shin and the twin clasp mechanism makes then fit perfectly through the foot, ankle and leg. Stiff to start with but a couple of days wear sorted that, although the design is rigid so if you're after a boot to stroll around in I'd consider trying others to compare. Very high protection levels and top manufacturing quality - I've just binned a pair of Alpinestars boots which suffered 10 years of abuse and I can see these lasting a lot longer than that. Oh, and they look a bit cool eh?
After trying many boots on in the shop I ended up with these as they just fitted so well, most boots I couldn't do up with my slightly larger calfs.... but these fitted fine. After a couple of run outs on the bike they have softened up an are even better. Bit more money than I wanted to spend but well worth it.
Almost perfect boot, great features, very good quality and fit.
Solid amount of ankle / shin protection for a short boot.
Sole is rugged and stiff yet flexible enough for walking around on and off road.
Lovely quality leather finished off with a good quality waterproofing.
Really love these boots!
Perfect, comfortable and easy to put on with plenty of adjusts to give movement when changing gear. No laces and very cozy!! Well impressed!
