The label inside your boots will tell you about what tests they've gone through, and how they did. Here's how to decipher those labels for yourself...
I did read reviews on these and followed a couple of them by going up a size, really good quality boots, seem well made.
Great solution / compromise if you’re looking for a boot for some green lane adventures if you’re looking for the comfort and support without the restrictions of a full motocross boot. First impressions great, more use required before providing a more detailed review however quality is good, fasteners look robust and reliable and all with the great customer service and value from the sportsbikeshop.
I picked up these boots out of brand loyalty to replace my aging Alpinestars boots.
These boots come with a CE rating of 2-2-2-2, with two across the board.
Right out of the box, it's easy to see why—they are solid! They were a bit uncomfortable at first, but after wearing them around the house for a day, they became much more comfortable. (Wearing a few pairs of socks helps stretch them out.) They come up halfway up my shin, and the built-in shin TPR protection gives me confidence that they will provide good protection.
The fastening mechanism takes some getting used to, but once you do, you can easily adjust the tightness around your shin and ankle, making them perfect for long rides. After riding not only in winter but also in the rain, I can confirm that they will keep your feet dry and warm.
These boots are pricey, but after owning them for just a short time, they easily justify the price tag.
Well Happy. Had them the next day, fantastic boots and fantastic price, recommend the shop highly
I tried a fair few boots before settling down for this and it was just perfect. I am not very tall and this was ideal for my height.
A very well made and assuring boot: quality is very good, and feels very comfortable straight out of the box.
I do 50 miles commute into London, and whether it's been dry and sunny, pouring, or 0 temp my feet have been comfortable, dry and safe.
When having to put my foot down at lights or stops the boot has good grip.
The price was great too with SBS doing them in the sale.
If you want to invest in a decent pair of boots you can't go wrong with these.
Tried out my new boots today great fit had to adjust gear lever very comfortable really pleased would recommend
These.boots are a little sturdier than a normal road boot but still light enough to use comfortably on my road bike. Just what I was looking for.
A great fitting pair of boots, straight out the box. A good scaled down version of my Motocross boot, simple to adjust and a solid feel when on. One minor issue is the squeaky buckles, a few more miles and hopefully that stops.
Boots are tight to get on to start with, but only for the first couple of days. The quality is excellent and the size the same as my normal shoe size. Had to adjust my gear change as boots are deeper than my old ones. Well pleased with them, plus good price and excellent delivery.
Very comfortable Boots from the word go and easy to walk around in off the bike. Maybe a bit stiff at first but soon wear in. The only little issue is that they are a bit thicker from sole to top of toe so you may need to adjust your gear lever to suit depending on what bike you are riding. The lower boot height is good if you use longer knee armour also. All in all very pleased with these boots and it goes without saying that the great service from SBS is very good as well.
Love these boots.
I had my eye on them for ages, whilst looking at other (cheaper) boots but eventually decided I wanted something that will actually last.
Really comfy, picking them up they feel ridiculously solid/well built - imagine if Volvo built boots :-D
My only (minor) gripe is that they have a plastic support on the sides to presumably limit the amount of sideways ankle flex. This squeaks on both boots when I walk. I'm not sure if it will eventually wear itself enough to not do it, or if it's safe to apply some WD-40, but it's annoying!
Lovely boot. Quick and easy on: safe and secure feel. The low cut makes them practical and comfortable while staying watertight.
Slightly restrictive widthwise when first on; but after an hour on the bike the padding starts to conform to the feet and they become soft and comfy.
Easy riding boots with good protection.
Fit pretty true to size I found. I usually wear around a 9 shoe and found the 43 bang on snug. Slightly sore on my right foot big toe however it is my bigger foot and I do have rather long toes! But I feel this will ease with the boots.
The boots themselves are very comfortable like walking boots with all the protection (bare height) of MX boots.
Toe box is larger than street boots however felt perfect on the controls on my MT 03 660.
Originally tried on a pair of cheaper boots than these, but was convinced to try these on. They were so comfy I didn't take them off and road home in them. Very easy to put on and adjust. My only slight gripe is that compared to the boots I was replacing, the toe is quite deep, meaning I had to adapt gear changes to account for this.
