Reviews Let us explain all the details of Alpinestars' adventure boots...

Customers highlight the boot’s immediate comfort, waterproof nature, and high-quality, sturdy construction. Despite initial stiffness and occasional squeaking, the boots become more flexible and silent over time. They provide excellent protection and are adjustable for a perfect fit. However, some noted bulkiness that affected gear shifting and potential size inconsistencies. The boots are suitable for various weather conditions and some off-roading, but issues like outer material wear and sizing concerns were noted. Overall, they are lauded for their durability, comfort, and functional features.
These are my second pair of the same boots. My previous pair were brilliant! They lasted me about 7 years and about 70,000 miles. As a bike instructor it s the walking that ultimately wears them out, these have lasted much longer than any other riding boot. They are waterproof and comfortable, offering fantastic protection. They are a little stiff to begin with, but after a week of riding are already easing up. Despite some similar boots being over £300, these were purchased in the Black Friday sale and were just under £200, so are great value. My boot of choice!
I use these boots as part of my everyday all weather kit and so far they’ve been great. They feel strong and safe and fit well. My feet are warm and dry and the boot toes are flexible enough within a few short rides. I’m predicting I’ll be switching to my lightweight boots for summer still because my feet get hot on longer rides in autumn temps.
Having ridden just short of 10,000 miles in these boots in a little over a year, they're still an absolute pleasure to clip onto your feet in preparation of your next ride.
Even in torrential rain downpours they remain fully waterproof unless the water tracks down your legs, but any boot would let water in through the tops so that's no failing of these boots.
After an embarrassing low speed spill the boots held up and only broke one of the clasps, which was easily replaced and returned them to as new condition.
If and when these do eventually perish, I'll definitely be buying another pair.
Great looking and comfortable. I certainly feel protected wearing these. Toe area is thick so takes a bit of getting used to gear changes.
Have now owned these for nearly 5 years and used all year round. They have stayed perfectly waterproof all this time and I only reproofed them last week before a wet trip away as a precaution.
Incredibly comfortable out of the box as I've found with other alpinestars boots.
Even after 5 years of use they look pretty good and I imagine they'll last for a number of more years yet. Excellent!
I got these for £249 after a price match and sportbikeshop honoured it without any fuss. I have fairly wide feet and large calves and these boot fit extremely well!
I've been out in them off road a few times and my feet have felt secure, gear changed are easy and I've come home and my feet are still dry, that's a first for me!!!
I 100% feel the boots are worth the money. And I would highly recommend if your budget allows
Nice boots, but not exactly what I'm looking for.
These are chunky touring boots that have some off-road style.
They're comfy enough to do a little walking in and have a bit of padding for when it gets cold and the lining has kept my toes dry through a couple of showers and one downpour.
But I have reservations about the longevity of a velcro only top closure - you just know it's only a couple of years before the grip goes.
It would be nice if Alpinestars had added a buckle for the top for extra security since there's no zip.
Also a top buckle might help keep the rain from getting down the boot opening.
It's bloomin' horrible having freezing cold rain dribble down to your heels!
Fit isn't bad but a touch narrow for my big (Euro 47) feet.
If you get on alright with Sidi boots then you'll have plenty of room.
Overall, they aren't perfect but good enough not to return.
Great quality boots as expected, comfortable pretty much straight out of the box and the usual fast, hassle free service from SBS!
Comfortable from the box
Well made and reasonable price
Not used on the rain yet but no reason to believe not fully waterproof
Bought to replace Sidi Adventure 2
Seem to be a good choice
Great boots that feel sturdy and protective when you are wearing them. You can adjust the straps so you get the prefect fit. Comfortable out of the box I can also confirm they are waterproof. Deep tread on the soles gives peace of mind in the wet. I know these boots will last for years which makes the purchase price great value for money. Superb boots
Boots are very comfortable and remarkably light for their look. The buckles are easily useable with one hand. The only thing I'm not keen on, now I have put them on with my outer trousers is that they look a bit like wellies rather than adventure touring boots. Not tested in the wet yet so can't comment on their waterproofing.
After using these boots for around 13 months and covering 3000 miles max, the sides that have touched the frame of the bike have not worn very well with the outer material pealing off. Did not expect this from such an expensive boot . Sent them back to sports bike shop but they were unable to do anything with them which was disappointing
Had a pair of these for the last four and a half years. Warm, dry, comfortable, and Sturdy boots. They've survived having a KTM Adventure bike dropped on them, kept me dry in torrential downpours over hundreds of miles at a time. Never needed extra socks in winter, and they're as comfortable 12 hours in as they were when you put them on that morning.
So glad Sportsbikeshop had a pair in my size when everyone else was telling me they'd been discontinued.
Hot Tip: Grab a pair of these while they're still available. You won't regret it
Bought ostensibly for road with some off road 70/30. Very comfy and fully adjustable and completely waterproof. Buckles are a bit fiddly to adjust looser but excellent for quick on and off. Feet were comfortable even on a hot weekends riding.
I bought these for winter riding and non-extreme off-road (for ploughing through proper mud-baths you need dedicated off-road boots). They were immediately comfy (boot-size = shoe size, though feel free to go a size up if you envisage wearing particularly thick socks) but they did squeak. Once the initial stiffness had worn off, the squeaking also disappeared and they are now very comfortable indeed.
On the bike I have mixed feelings, as the sturdiness that keeps out the weather also means that there is not much feel on the brake or the gear lever. You may have to adjust the position of either or both of these. My Alpinestars touring trousers don't fit properly over the bulky tops and they won't zip closed. This is a minor issue as dirt and rain can't get in anyway. There may be other trousers in the Alpinestars range that fit over, but I would have expected them to be fully compatible with these boots.
All in all, these are definitely a no-messing kind of bad weather boot, suitable also for light to moderate off-roading. I wouldn't wear them in summer, mind!
Great adventure/touring boot. Although, a tad bulky but this is to be expected with this style of boot. Overall, very pleased with my purchase.
I needed (Wanted) new boots so I popped down to Sportsbikeshop where I tried on almost every pair in the place. As soon as I put my foot in these boots, it was a done deal.
The staff were great and kept bringing boots out, offered advice… how they didn't wrap a pair round my head, I don't know… but, I walked a way a happy man. Since owning them I have been for a few rides and found them warm and still very comfortable.. a real winner.
Great adventure/touring boot. They are very comfortable and waterproof.
