Customer Reviews for Keis J501 Premium Heated Jacket - Black / Red
Lovely and warm
Husband bought this for me as I kept complaining about the cold, it's a fabulous product. As usual excellent service from Sportsbikeshop and it arrived the next day, it was very easy for husband to fit the cable to the bike battery and it's like wearing a snug fitting all over hot water bottle. It has made my 1hr 15 min commute to and from work much easier and me much happier, kicking myself that I didn't do it earlier, it's not cheap but worth very penny, it's not too bulky and easy to control. Definitely recommend.Read more
Quality, warm, heated jacket
Well made, good fit, and looks good off the bike. I'm a size 38" chest but bought the XS to fit over a merino base layer. It is just short enought to enable the Rukka jacket/trousers to zip together. I find the low setting still quite hot. Pity there's not a trickle heat setting for temperate weather. Really worth getting for the all-weather rider.Read more
This is my second Keis jacket and I think its a great piece of kit, its lighter then the previous model and it certainly keeps you warm. Good quality worth the money paid.Read more
Tried this for the first time a couple of days ago - 170 miles in 5-6C temperatures and I didn't feel cold once. Had it set mainly on the lowest setting as even the medium setting got too hot. The jacket is well made and can be worn as a casual jacket off the bike without inducing ridicule! I normally take a 40 and the size guide said to order an XS but this was too tight - the S is perfectly sized. All in all this is the best thing I've bought this yearRead more
I'll never ride cold again
A well made jacket, which also looks like a 'normal' coat, styled very much like a 'paddock jacket'. I power it from the battery on my bike by the included 12v power lead. a simple connection and then 'plug n play'.. but for extra ££ you can get a battery pack to power it off the bike too. Good sizing with plenty of heating area, even in the collar. Heating areas in the chest, back and arms, covering all the areas you need warmed. I got a free controller with this from SBS which is a must as the high setting is VERY warm. It fits nicely under my RST Cordura and I don't need the liner in!! I do a 150 mile round trip a day and now question how I managed the cold before! well worth the investment. And it has a output to connect trousers or other items.. and leads in the wrist to connect gloves.. i run the jacket, trousers and insoles from the one lead, with the included 15a fuse.. A must investment for any winter rider.Read more
I have recently bought this jacket, it was easy to set up, I have used it a few times and it is really warm, even when unplugged and walking around the fleece is good. I would recommend this jacket. Only niggle is that the temperature controller cannot fit in my outer jacked to make it easier to use. Otherwise it would have been 5 stars.Read more
Can't fault jacket quality or warmth it's top rate, only issue for me sleeves are uncomfy and restricting under my outer jacket so exchanging for sleeveless vest. Sportsbikeshop have been fantastic This is my second exchange, first jacket different style, to big returned and received new size same week. Return process very easy.Read more
Excellent product, excellent service
We both have the heated vests, and they are great, so because of the protracted winter cold, I thought the extra warmth offered in the arms and collar would be a favourable option. My wife absolutely loves it, she has the same size as the heated vest, and the other day, wore a grade 2 thermal vest,(lowest), the heated jacket, and then her Oxford Dakota jacket on top. Set on the lowest setting it kept her comfortably warm, and this even with health problems that require her blood to be thinned. An excellent investment, and fabulous service as always from SBS I agree that you must have the heat controller as well.Read more
Superb Heated Jacket
Whilst the garment sizes may be an issue, once I obtained a jacket that fitted my arms better I am very pleased with the product. It appears to be well made & the controller also enables a better variation to the heating required; I can also use it off the bike as a stylish over jacket. Well worth the money to make my rides more enjoyable when the weather is a lot cooler. Great product overall.Read more
Excellent piece of kit
This jacket is excellent. I did my research and chose this one for my 140 mile daily commute. Never had one before but it's amazing. Good quality, easy and with the heat controller, perfect for all conditions. You MUST have the heat controller as it will go to 100% otherwise and burn! I have it on low and it's 4-9 degrees at the moment. I have the in-soles too which connect easily to the jacket.Read more

Questions and Answers
As I frequently travel with a pillion passenger can you connect/power two Keis J501 jackets from a single motorbike?May 29, 2018
We can see no reason why not - you would need to check that your charging system is capable of taking the draw of two jacket and any other accessories that you are running. The current draw of each jacket is 7A.
Does the Keis j501 jacket have the distribution system as the X25 jacket-for the Keis gloves ?February 23, 2018
The Keis vest is able to operate on its own or integrate (connect) with Keis heated trousers, gloves, or insoles, via convenient built-in power leads and/or sockets.
How does it connect? Cigarrette lighter type plug?February 22, 2018
The jacket comes with a motorcycle battery connection loom, if you wish to connect it to 12v socket you would need to purchase the Keis Accessory plug lead separately.
Why can't the power pack be used with this? Are there any full length sleeved jackets that it can be? I have multiple biked and would rather not be wired to themJanuary 10, 2018
Unfortunately the J501 jacket would require too much draw from the battery pack. You would be able to use either the Keis V501 Premium Heated Vest or the Keis X10 Heated Body Warmer with the use of the battery pack but they are not full sleeved jackets.
