K&N Air Filter TB-6706 - Triumph

Perfect fit and although my bike was already very sharp on the throttle I noticed it was a lot sharper, although I thought it impossible to make it sharper.

If anybody is a petrol head, then they know what KnN stand for!! Once fitted it makes a lovely deep sound that just adds to the Arrow cans. A lifetime filter, just take out and clean at next service and replace, no problems!!

Replaced the old filter, with the shiny new one, everything works as it should. What surprised me was the effective cleaning power of the K&N wash and oil fluids.
The old filter was pretty oiled, dust and fly infected. Almost looks new after the treatment. Well worth the money with lots to spare for future use. Great service from SBS are always

Firstly, this review is based on the product only as like always Sportsbikeshop provided a first class service.
I installed this K & N correctly using the o-ring from my original filter as instructed, I instantly noticed it ruined the fueling in the lower revs, ran really jerky & gutless below 5k rpm. Took my bike to my local rolling road to have the bike re-mapped, the most they could get from my bike was 112.7WHP, although the fueling was nice and smooth again it still seemed to lack power. They told me to come back with a stock filter and they re-mapped it basically for free, it instantly hit 119WHP and after tweaking 121.1WHP!! So this piece of junk cost me 8.4WHP and a lot of time and the cost of a Dyno session. I'll never buy one ever again.
My Dyno owner said this is not unheard of. The standard Daytona filter has a metal plate on the back with lots of holes to baffle and distribute the air evenly whereas the K & N doesn't. Make your own mind up but I found out the hard way.

As always super quick delivery! I feel that fitting this filter has changed the engine note slightly and has now increased the throttle response.
Would recommend this engine upgrade.

Bought for my 2012 Street Triple R to replace the original filter. My original filter was well past its best. The K & N ones are one of the very few aftermarkets air filters that actually flow the correct amount of air for the Triumph range. Remember to follow the fitting instructions and you can't go wrong. Has made an improvement in responsiveness at least with a subtle deeper growl. Easy to maintain when the time comes.
