MT Rapide - Overtake Matt Black / Fluo Yellow

Had previous model, light weight with good ventilation.
Double loop buckle which I prefer, supplied with pin lock. Overall good value comfortable crash helmet.

1st full face I have bought for a while, normally use a flip up, current helmet is an MT Atom. This meets all my expectations, fits just right, as always for new helmet bit tight but that will sort itself out. Only 2 small things I missed when I ordered it no drop down sun visor and the double D strap for keeping it on. I bought it for use over the winter, but have not been out in the rain yet but is definitely quiet when out in the wind. As for the double D buckle I will get use to it. All in all a very good helmet.

I like the looks, I like that it has pockets and channels for the communicator speakers (fit perfectly about 6mm groove) easy to install, comes with a pinlock that fits and works perfectly. Came with a nice carry bag.
During the rain some drops managed to get past the visor and the ventilation holes are insufficient. While double D lock is standard on helmets I don't like it. Both sides of the strap are the same colour, so if it's twisted you will have to untie it again as you wont be able to clip it close, all they had to do is mark one side of the strap with a white line or whatever so that you can tell immediately that it is twisted but they didn't.
Sharp gave this helmet 4 stars for security and for 90 quid or thereabout it's fine, good helmet but not excellent. Looks better than it performs.

A nice light helmet that after a very short break in period has turned out to be very comfortable with very little buffeting. I'm usually somewhere between sizes m/l (AGV, LS2) and ended up with a M as the L was a bit loose, it is quite a snug fit and the chin bar is quite close so probably not for the claustrophobic. The pinlock insert is a great addition and spare visors are very reasonably priced.

Only issue is the noise, even though it is a good snug fit the noise at 60+mph requires the need for earplugs and makes it difficult to hear my intercom speakers. There are cutaways but I'm not sure there is enough adjustment to get the speakers in the right place.
