RST Pro Series X-Raid CE Textile Trousers - Magnesium / Black

Sportsbkeshop recently exchanged my RST pro x raid trousers as they had failed during a torrential downpour. Even the ducks were sheltering! No quibble, fast turnaround and to my surprise they carry a 3 year warranty, hats off to RST and Sportsbikeshop. Great service, Hoping that both will give me many years of service.

Great bit of kit, bought a matching jacket as well. Looks good, fairly lightweight and most importantly does the job. I have been riding in some horrendous weather and this kit has always kept me dry! I do like the colour scheme and the design in general, however the two zipped pockets are on the small side and have a very small opening, meaning they aren't very usable... they're big enough to slide a mobile phone in there but due to location (front, rather than close to your hip), you then can't lift your leg up or sit on a bike with a phone in your pocket! Not a deal breaker, as there are other pockets in the jacket but definitely not practical. I like that the trousers come with a set of removable braces but I use these all the time. The ventilation zips work great on a hot day, cools you down really quickly and it works well on and off the bike. Please be aware of the sizing on these, I'm 5.10 of proportionate build and normally a size L in everything. Read the size chart carefully as I had to go for size M / UK32 in these (I'm normally L/UK34 but it actually says size 32 fits 34-36! Size L was too big for me so I had to go size down in trousers. Corresponding jacket on the other hand is made small, so I had to buy 1 size up, XL. Both trousers and the jacket have that tailored feel, they're not tight, just on a 'fitted' side, size up is definitely too big though. Overall great bit of kit, fully waterproof so far (tested in some horrendous downpours in Scotland) and looks good. Just read the size chart carefully!!!

The trousers are of excellent quality for the price point.
Being A rated with level 2 armour and great features such as thermal liner and zipped vents.
The fit is superb with plenty of adjustment, for the price I can't recommend these trousers highly enough.
