Merlin Axe Aramid Textile Shirt - Green

This is seemingly well made. I removed all the armour as I use it to wear over my Knox Urbane jacket (which has superb armour already). The shirt adds warmth for chilly morning commutes and the lining is great. It seems well made with strong seams and I went for an XL size (my usual size) and I'm 5' 11" and 82kg. The cuffs are fairly tight but that's fine as I don't want baggy cuffs and ballooning flappy sleeves from the wind. All said, it's a great purchase. I also wear it off the bike when I'm walking the dog at 0600 in the morning... ????

This is a very well made shirt. The fit is spot on and I haven't experienced any flaws with mine. I've ridden in it a few times already (March-April) and it feels warm, comfortable and feels like I've had it for years. Great product, and as always, great service from sportsbikeshop.

Rate 4 for the shirt but 5 for the Company. Good fit and looks the part but back protector very basic and needs upgrading to D30. My shirt arrived with a few flaws in the stitching but Sports bike shop were happy to refund or exchange. Decided to keep it as it was the last green one but they gave me an acceptable discount. Always found their customer service team excellent. Shirt expensive but overall decent quality. (Apart from small pull marks in material) Hopefully material will hold up if I ever hit the deck.

I normally wear leathers and waistcoat but in the current heatwave decided to get something a bit cooler. Ideally I would have gone for something single layer as I've got single layer jeans and they're great, but liked the look and price of this overshirt. I'd normally wear size 46 in a jacket and the XXL 46 was a good fit. XL was certainly too tight with the sleeves feeling too short, I'm 6' and 15 stone. I've had fully lined aramid jeans in the past and thought this may still be too hot, but no, the air seems to flow through keeping you cool but not making you cold. I've been caught out in the rain and although it got wet, I wasn't soaked or cold, but it was a warm day. It's well made and great for the summer, there's only a foam insert in the back so I upgraded with a level 2 forcefield back protector. My go to jacket at the moment.

One star only for the idea and design. For quality I do not give any star. After the first 500 miles, the shirt loses color from the sun. After a year it's really bad.

I've been looking for a shirt like this for a while so it was quite a result when I found the colour I liked and it was on sale too.
I was travelling back to Portugal from the UK in 3 days time but I received it with plenty of time to try on in case I needed to return it.
The shirt is very well made and perfect for summer riding.
The back armour is more like padding but is easily replaced with something stronger.
Overall I am very happy with both the product and the service.

After always wearing the big cumbersome leather when out on my Harley 48, I decided it was time for something a bit lighter. Much easier to get on and off, looks like a shirt jacket which is appealing if stopping off somewhere for a coffee or having a chat. Don't feel so out of place. Also the jacket comes with all the necessary shoulder, elbow and back padding which kind of makes me look like I've gotten carried away with the gym and am chemically enhanced... Would definitely recommend this as the quality speaks for itself, can see this lasting a long time.

Really good quality, would recomend to size down, I did this and got a perfect fit. Back armour is pretty thin, I just swapped mine out from another jacket

TL;DR sizing is spot on. Quality is superb. Cuffs are more narrow than usual

I purchased an XXL (which is my usual size) and it fits perfectly.
The quality is fantastic. It's very light and feels like wearing a regular jacket . You could definitely walk around in this jacket and nobody would realise it's a motorcycle jacket unless you have a bulky back protector.

The armour in the shoulders and elbows is very comfortable and almost feels like it's not actually there with how easily it bends and flexes with your movements.

The back protector included is just a sort of memory foam thing which you would do well to replace with a nice flexible D30 but still it's nice to have at least some protection included.

Even though it isn't perforated it's very cool to wear on hot days and only minor complaint I can think of is that the wrist cuffs are tighter than usual. I'm 6ft1 and a tubby chubster but my wrists fit comfortably with some space but I couldn't fit a gauntlet glove under the cuff but being as it's a summer jacket I'm not wearing gauntlets anyway. If you have thicker wrists then you may not be able to fit those air vent gizmos in there too but the jacket is so breathable I don't think you'll need it anyway.

Purchased this shirt not knowing what it would be like.
I needn't have worried excellent quality and fit and delivered the next day.
What more could you want.

Excellent jacket light weight and very comfortable. There are cheaper ones out there but you pay for the quality. Highly recommend

Just what I have been looking for, perfect for summer ridding. Love it. I do however recommend you upgrade the back armour as the one supplied is of little use. Still a good price even adding an extra £25 for D30 armour.
