Advice & Guides If it feels like armour in your bike kit then the law demands it is actually proper, protective armour. Here's how to tell how effective your impact protection is...
Customers say these jeans are comfortable, stretchy and good value, with a casual look that works well off the bike. The fit is often praised, though some recommend sizing down or choosing a shorter leg. Armour is generally described as unobtrusive and well placed, especially at the knees. A few customers found the leg length too long or the padding bulky, but most were pleased with the overall quality and feel.
It is better to try them on first as I had to go a size up from my normal jeans size.
They are very comfortable and much cooler in the recent hot weather we have been having. They also give me confidence as they seem to be well made and have decent armor.
Size small as others have said; I'm a nailed on 32, but 30 in these fit me perfectly. Lovely riding jeans; smart on and off of the bike, great for when I commute to the office and for everyday wear.. whilst offering a good level of protection.
Tight. Comfy on bike. Size 34 and I’m way bigger than that. Plenty of muffin to hang over. Length regular fits well on my 31” leg.
Good quality. Good price. Good rain resistance. Padding a little big to walk around in all day without removing.
These jeans are great because they look and feel like regular jeans. Okay so they’re not Kevlar, but they do include a set of knee pads and hip pads and because the material is thinner, it means I’ll be wearing these throughout the summer. I’m a 32inch waist in most trousers, but it was the 30inch that fit me perfectly, so I would recommend going down a size.
Easy to wash and remove pads
Really pleased with these jeans.
They offer protection, together with armour plating at key points (knees and hips).
They are also warmer than standard jeans, which is a bonus.
Ordered from sportsbikeshop as they offer free returns.
Found the sizing to be correct.
Didn’t realise they had stretch material as I could have got away with smaller size but I may order another pair next size down now I know they have a bit of give
First time wearing biker jeans, very happy, good quality and comfortable
Nice fit. Defenently go a size smaller. Im 6"2 with long legs and have been wearing 36 waist 34 Long jeans for as long as I can remember. I got a 34 waist long leg for these and they fit grate. Glad I got the long leg because they sit nice when I'm on the bike.
Negative is the knee pads. They dont really stay on the knee.
The fit is absolutely spot on with these, and in all honesty they are as comfy if not more comfy than my regular jeans, the armour in the knees and hips definitely makes you feel safe! Would highly recommend these as im a larger guy with big calves and they fit great
The size I bought were exact to size of other brands of jeans I usually buy. The material is nice and soft on the skin but feel rebust enough should I ever come off. The protective pads are large enough to provide good coverage of the areas and these don’t fee uncomfortable when riding. Lastly, I love the colour and look! Will definitely be buying more.
I've got dumpy legs, so I buy the Regular size and they're just slightly long on me (they shrink a bit in washing, but not very much at all). I'm really fussy, but this is the second pair of these I've had, which says something... about them or me.
I needed something to protect against road rash should I come off the bike. Did not want to spend a fortune and wanted something casual enough to pass for regular clothing. These were almost spot on. The only Issue I found was the position of the kneed armour, it was hanging over my shins and no way to adjust. I do have short legs for my size though these were supposedly for my leg size, took out the knee armour and they work fine.
As a daily commuter, Bull-it motorbike jeans have been ideal for me. They’re comfortable enough to wear all day at work but still give proper peace of mind on the bike. The fit feels like normal jeans, not heavy riding gear, and the stretch makes longer rides and stop-start traffic easy. I really like that the armour is discreet, so I don’t feel awkward walking around once I’m off the bike. They’ve held up well to regular use and different weather, and overall they’re a great option for commuting without having to change clothes when you arrive.
This is my first purchase of protective jeans. I normally ride in one-piece leathers but I decided to change to an urban style of clothing for local lower speed rides. I chose the Bull-it Tactical Stone Straight Covec jeans in black as they had good reviews. The initial order was for a size 34, but these were too large, not just in the waist but also in the width of the legs. I returned them and ordered size 32. These were a comfortable fit around the waist and in the legs. Although the quality of finish is most likely not as good as jeans costing two or three times as much, they appear strongly stitched and manufactured to a good quality considering the low price. The legs have enough width at the ankles to wear over boots for an urban style. The leg length of 32" for my 31" measurement means that the jeans do not ride up when riding the bike. Of course, it remains to see how they wear during this year's riding, but so far, I am pleased with the purchase.
The service from Sportsbikeshop was first class. The return and reimbursement for the first pair went without delay, which was the first time I had returned items.
The jeans were of good quality for the price and I was delighted that they fit as I have short legs.
However their are clearly designed for the taller rider and then altered after the knee pad pockets are fitted
These are therefore just too far down the leg to fit my knees. And I would suggest most people knees
They are bit difficult to adjust but it would be better to have some kind of adjustable knee pad pockets
Comfy and feel protected on and off the bike, easy to take out to armour to wash aswell
These don't feel like riding jeans and are all day comfortable. The armour stays in place and you're not too conscious of it when you're walking around off the bike. I've spent more and had worse
