Simpson Pinlock Insert - Venom / Speed / Darksome / Darksome Carbon

Needed on any visor, well made bit fiddly to fit but only need to fit it once

Brilliant piece of kit that fits well and does what you expect

OK so I bought a new rainbow visor from SBS (looks amazing by the way) and I thought I would simply swap the pinlock from my clear visor over to my rainbow one. In doing this I thought I would give it a bit of a clean, this was my first mistake. You are not to clean the outside of the front of the pinlock that sits against the visor, I know this now and it was a costly mistake. I used water and screen cleaner and it removed all the anti-fog element from it. Another tip, don't put things like sat navs and gloves in your helmet when you get off the bike walking around. My pinlock had picked up loads of scratches from treating it like a handbag lol. In short if you get a new visor, always get a new pinlock. Luckily the price was heavily discounted at SBS so I grabbed another.

Although good looking helmet, its an extremely noisy helmet, even at low speeds under 20mph. do not buy if you value you hearing or your sanity. It was the same feeling as fingernails being scraped across a chalkboard. Even with ear plugs.

May be useful if you only ride indoors or drive a car.

Had my mod 1 test in the rain and realised my pinlock was needing replaced, Purchased online a new pinlock and chose a selected delivery date after my Mod2 test by accident. Thankfully Sports Bike Shop contacted me to inform me it was in stock and they could deliver before the date I selected. The pinlock arrived next day and I passed my Mod 2 without worrying about my visor fogging up great product and great customer service If you dont already have a pinlock then you need to get one it really is that simple no fogging, clear view and easy to fit.

Not much to say other than this is a replacement for one I damaged due to hanging my helmet on my sissy bar. Pinlock works great. Just don't the NC500 with it and no issues in heavy rain or sunshine. No steaming up or fogging.
I won't ride without one.

Incredible bit of kit that's easy to ft and makes for clear perfect vision. It doesn't compromise the integrity of the visor as you won't notice it's even there. Reckon I'll never need to lift up the visor ever again! Highly recommend.
