These winter-busting gloves from French brand DXR are relatively cheap, and definitely cheerful
Customers are impressed with the quality and fit of the DXR gloves, finding them warm and comfortable for winter riding. Despite some reports of bulkiness, the gloves are praised for their excellent construction, good leather, and tough knuckle protection. A few customers noted that the cuffs could be longer for better coverage over jackets. Some reviews mention that the gloves are not warm enough for extreme cold without heated grips. Overall, they offer great value, many customers highly recommend them for colder rides.
Fit great, important for operating switchgear, seem good quality but it's summer so won't know yet how good they are against the cold. Good value however and I'm fitting Oxford heated grips and probably bark buster guards so part of a multi approach to combat Scottish Highlands weather....
Had these for some time and purchased after they received good independent reviews. For the price they are great value. They don't feel bulky for a winter glove and I've found them comfortable on longer rides. They are relatively warm on colder days and are waterproof. They also look to offer good protection for a fall (level 1).
This is my go-to pair for the colder months (I also have RST's Axiom and Ventilator). Being quite thick and leather, they obviously lack the dexterity of thinner/summer gloves. The thumb-visor-wipe is useful. The only downside is the wrist-cuff velcro feels a little "cheap", but still sticks after 3 winters.
These are a great glove for the money, with many others at three times the price. Sizing is good if you know your size as the size chart (if you measure your palm) might have you in one size too big I’d say. Haven’t worn them in heavy rain yet. The cuff will go over a leather jacket sleeve, but nothing more (but waterproofs should go over the cuff anyway). I’ve had a pair very similar for 20 years so fingers crossed.
After watching 2 reviews on YouTube by Sports bike shop theses gloves rated well in both.
I had been looking in various shops and websites and decided to order them.
Using the sizing guide I ordered a large, 2 days later they arrived.
Perfect fit, comfortable and keep the old paws warm on cold days.
Finally I decided to test how waterproof they were and after putting them on submerged them in water after 5 minutes they were still bone dry inside.
For the money I don't think you'll a better glove.
I bought these because I wanted a pair of warm waterproof gloves, to be honest at this price I wasn't expecting too much, but, they are incredible quality and value. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these gloves.
The only thing I would say is that I measured my hand, 10cm and ordered the large but they were too tight so I returned and ordered and Extra large.
And also a big thank you for Sportsbikeshops excellent customer service.
The gloves are warm but the inner lining slides around too much so It can be a struggle to use the indicators, I've even had it slip off my clutch lever.
Very warm and comfortable. Seem good quality. Very hy.
Very good gloves only used in light rain but seem good
I first ordered another pair of gloves which were over twice the price but these look better and fit better. I'm looking forward to warmer fingers!
A really good winter glove that has kept my hands warm and at £50 that's not bad they have a visor wipe leather quality is very good in fact I think they were ride recommended I've not tried in the rain yet but from what others have said they work, delivery was spot on as usual and the gloves are true to size
These gloves are super warm and comfortable. I've not tested them in proper rain so can't speak for their waterproofness.
Only detractor is that they are quite bulky and stiff so significantly reduced my feel/dexterity. This may get better with time.
Not had extreme cold to fully test however they feel up for the job. Fit is fine however a little on bulky side but for the price it's a good trade off. If you want thin and warm pay extra £100 and get different ones
Decided on these from reviews and sportbikeshop video, so far no complaints, in fact still too warm as weather has been, hands have stayed dry in rain, fit is nice closures work well for me I have gloves under cuffs, for me visor wipe I'd prefer on finger rather than thumb, and also it seams rather plastic instead of rubber so would be careful about possible scratches to visor, leather quality is good , protection excellent and stitching looks strong, for me fit was perfect no issues, as always fast delivery from SBS
A quality cool/cold weather glove in the absence of heated grips, retaining good levels of movement and feel.
Just as good as RST/Alpinestars equivalents, but at half the price - no brainer!!
