Advice & Guides Laminated waterproofing is taking over the world. Our video runs through our top options
Customers appreciate the quality and comfort of this jacket, citing effective waterproofing and warmth. The jacket fits well, though some note it’s slightly snug and recommend sizing up. The removable thermal liner is favored, but some find the cuffs small for gloves. Limited pocket space is noted, yet overall design, functionality, and durability receive positive mentions. While minor issues with zippers and Velcro occur, the jacket is still highly recommended for its performance and value.
I’ve had this jacket for a good 4 years, and it is still going strong, only issues - reflective strips on the arms have peeled off, and part of the rubber zip cover on the chest air vent has come away. This is my go to jacket throughout the year. Definitely waterproof, keeps me warm in the spring and autumn months, do need extra layers for the cold, not great for our UK Jan/Feb cold spell. Air vents work well in the summer, but haven’t used it in these heat waves we have been having(2026), have a mesh jacket for that heat. Size up, or definitely try on, as Richa sizing doesn’t match the norm!! Overall a great jacket and I will eventually replace it with the new version.
Ordered an m but it was way too small. Didn't have a larger size, though I don't know how larger I would have needed. Otherwise very nice looking jacket which I would have been happy with
Have owned for about four years now and have used in torrential weather but never got wet thoroughly rerccomend. Richa always offer great value when compared against some of the more expensive rivals. I have always found the quality to be excellent.
Warm when you want warm dry when you want dry and cool when you want cool what more could you want and it’s good sizing
The jacket fits well, if a little snug according to te size guide. I would go a size up. Lining is warm and easiy detachable. Waterproofing good. Appears well made.
Very good quality.
Excellent jacket that I have used for a number of years in all weather's. This has kept me warm and dry in some heavy rain and cold conditions. I did find the cufs quite tight making it difficult to tuck gloves in but I now just use short gloves which help. All the high viz parts have started to peel after washing and the velcro has pretty much given up now on the pockets and neck loop but these also have poppers to keep them usable.
Like the quality of the jacket, the sleeve cuffs could do with being a bit bigger, more adjustment.
I’ve been riding in the Richa Infinity 2 Pro jacket from SportsBikeShop and it’s been a solid all-rounder—especially for the price. The fit is spot on once you fine-tune the adjustments around the arms, waist, and hips, and it’s surprisingly comfy right out of the box. The Aquashell waterproof membrane (rather than pricier Gore-Tex) has kept me bone‑dry even on washout rides, while the removable thermal liner and big mesh vents make it versatile enough for both summer blasts and cooler mornings. The D3O armour in shoulders, elbows, and back sits well and doesn’t get in the way, though it is only Level 1.
I’ve also seen a few others mention things I’d noticed too—good airflow and solid water protection—but there are a couple of trade‑offs. Pockets are decent, but not huge, and I'd prefer more reflective detailing than just the piping and 3M bits it comes with. And while the armour is comfortable, it’s not the highest spec out there. Still, it’s a really impressive jacket for under £400 - good value I think if you want comfort, weatherproofing, and a flexible jacket that works all year round.
Wanted a reasonable price waterproof all season jacket, saw review on social media, wore it during a down poor and I stayed dried.
This is a super value jacket, fits well, and seems well made. I'm 6ft and 42 chest, the 2XL fits me fine.
It's early days yet, I haven't ridden in the rain, so I can't report on how dry it keeps you, but I've been out in chilly weather and the jacket is pretty warm.
A very comfortable jacket excellent quality and I also bought the matching trousers all at a great price.
Only worn once so far but fitted very well even with liner which I never use on other jackets and kept me warm with only a t shirt underneath in 10 degrees.
Where as my other large jacket caught the wind the Richa doesn't (on me) with made the ride pleasant.
Obviously not tested in the rain so cannot comment.
Overall seems good quality for an excellent price.
I've been on the hunt for the right fitting laminate jacket for a while now, and have tried various makes/designs and sizes.
Had to go for the max size with this, but there is plenty of adjustment if I want to wear an additional fleece etc underneath in cold weather, or to pull it in if jacket only.
My only criticism, as others have already said, is the cuffs are on the small size. Not sure if they will pull over a thick pair of gloves.
Overall quality is good. Sbs service was excellent as always. Thanks.
Excellent quality needed to go one size up from what I would usually have, and it was fine, great friendly service from sportsbikeshop would recommend. Oh needs more pockets.
Fantastic service. Great price, great product, delivered 24 hours later. Why can't everyone be this good?
Sorry to have to write a negative review but it needs to be said. I purchased the jacket in January and it started to show premature signs of wear in the cuffs and the warranty rejected my claim saying it's wear and tear.Saying possibly due to velcro coming into contact with cuffs so basically I can't wear gloves with velcro apparently..Not happy with the outcome and the two year warranty is worthless.
.BE WARNED ?*
I bought my first ever textile jacket summer 2021. Sizing was always going to be an issue as I was a mere twelve and a half stone, so I popped down to my local motorcycle shop to try some on. As the bulk of their products were Richa and looked as good as any other brand I tried some on until I found the size that was right for me at the time. I then ordered the jacket from SBS. The jacket arrived and I had to check it out so went on a hundred and eighty mile trip during storm Arwen and wow the jacket ticked all the boxes from comfort, wind blocking and dryness. Considering I was thinking of buying a Gortex jacket, I watched the prices creep upwards so decided to buy a laminate jacket at almost half the cost, so glad I did.
So I had this jacket for three years with no complaints other than me putting on weight hence it became a little too snug so I decided to buy the next size up. I'm six foot two inches tall and a forty four inch chest and I bought a 2XL which gives more than adequate room for additional layers for those colder trips. Although it feels larger it still ticks all the original boxes of the first jacket.
Personally I consider this jacket to be an excellent choice if you are thinking of buying Gortex but are in two minds because of the price.
Again I can't thank SBS enough for a quality service.
