The Richa name goes back to the 1950s and its motorcycle heritage began in 1977 when the founder's son, Luc Rigaux, started making bike clothing under the name of the family business. Richa has gone from strength to strength in the years since, becoming the biggest manufacturer of bike clothing in the Benelux countries. Richa, which is pronounced Reesha, has partnered with some of the biggest technical companies in the world, introducing D3O armour to their range in 2014, and following that up the following year with the prized Gore-Tex waterproof membrane. Looks great. Feels great. Just a superb classic jacket. Great quality and full armour inc back.

Sizing is on the tight side. I’m a 39-40 chest, precisely and I could have got away with the 42, but settled on the 44 instead. It’s a little roomier, which you can feel on the bike with some top bunching, but I’d rather than and be able to use in shoulder seasons. if you like them tight, go 2” up. A 40 will NOT fit a 40 chest.

I’m a 40” chest, well, 39 ish, and the 42 in this jacket works great. Just the right side of loose and tight at the same time. The 40 was “snug” T shirt under only. A lovely dark brown and usual Richa quality.
