Advice & Guides With protection for your feet (but not ankles) riding trainers are for those easy days out and about
Customers generally praised the boots for their comfort, style, and durability, with some highlighting their waterproof capabilities and protective features. Many found them suitable for both riding and casual use, noting their comfortable fit even after prolonged wear. A few mentioned initial tightness, which eases with use. While some suggested improvements such as lace cleats or a Velcro strap, the overall sentiment was positive, with most customers recommending them for their quality and functionality, marking them as good value for money.
I got these while still training for my mod 1.
They have been great, the boot is warm and comfortable. It feels solid, and gives my ankle support and protection. There is plenty of grip on the soles, and doesn’t look out of place when I’m out and about .
Some people complained about a mark appearing where the gear lever rubs on the boot, but I haven’t had this issue yet.
This product is very comfy and stylish, also goes well with casual clothes
Really comfortable, started to wear them as my everyday trainers as well as on my bike.
Good looking boots that will keep you dry in a shower and are very comfortable. My son had some before me and I was impressed at how they coped with all weathers all the time.
Really comfortable, thick lining. Delivery was next morning! Brilliant product and site; would highly recommend!
Very beautiful shoes for everyday use, very comfortable and with a very nice look.
Really nice looking boots and seems well made. Very comfortable on and off the bike straight out of the box. Only downside for me is lack of grip on the sole makes it more difficult to paddle a heavy bike around on slippery surfaces like grass.
Quality shoes, just go for a larger size as I did from reading the reviews
Really nice shoe, very very comfortable on and off the bike, definitely feel more trainer than bike boot in a good way. Downside is after two rides the gear shifter has left a mark. Hopefully won’t get any worse but worried about longevity…
Love the casual style of these boots. Perfect balance between feeling like a sturdy motorcycle boot, but as comfortable as trainers.
Great boots from Alpinestar. Just wanted a pair of boots that offered protection but still looked good off of the bike. Now worn for a weekend and they have softened up and are very comfy and I think look good.
Very good quality alternative boots too full length motorcycle boots excellent for casual wear on and off the bike
These are the only shoes I wear when road riding as I think normal boots look a bit daft. Comfy, nice to ride in. Slightly annoying to have to do up laces and apart from some abrasion resistance and a stiff sole I doubt they’ll protect your foot too much if the bike fell on you. They’re reasonably waterproof but as they’re short you’ll struggle to seal your trousers over the top of them. I’ve had mine 2 years now and they’re holding up well
These fit like ordinary trainers, they are extremely comfy, and the DryStar lining has never let me down. Would be a 5-star review, but the sole started to come away after a year of ownership.
Comfort, safety and waterproof all rolled into one. Wish I bought them last year.
These are probably some of the most expensive shoes I’ve ever bought so expected a lot more. Protection is minimal. They are comfortable but seem just like regular trainers rather than riding shoes. The top of the left shoe is already wearing away and damaged after ~50 miles of riding from gear shifting. I have a pair VANS that have more protection and no damage from more riding. If they were £100 cheaper they would be a decent pair of shoes but there are much better options out there. Would not buy alpinestars gear again after these.
Alpinestars produce good quality products, and the fit is ideal for me.
It would however be nice to have some additional material on the upper to protect against ware from the gear change lever
Not used them yet but very well made and look nice. Purposely went for a darker sole as white will get rotten after a few rides. I am a size 11 but went half a size up as a precaution but they felt massively oversized. Now have an 11 and they are a snug fit with thin socks on and a little play left inside the boot, and tbf they are summer boots and would not expect to have thick pair of woolies on. As with new boots little stiff but sure they will soften up over time. Overall very happy with them.
Top service yet again from Sportsbikeshop team hence why you are always my first port of call when buying bike stuff.
