Tried on several boots but attracted to these by the quality and previous experience with Alpine Stars. Very comfortable from first use and I am sure will bed in even more. Stylish on or off the bike and suit my Guzzi. Being waterproof means I can use all year round

I was looking for a pair of boots that I could use for the work commute involving a long walk. These work brilliantly, both for riding and walking, and look great on or off the bike. I got caught in a heavy downpour and yes, they are waterproof.

I really like that these boots look like nice high top trainers. They can be worn with regular clothing and nobody would know they’re motorcycle boots. They’re comfortable, durable and waterproof!

Wanted an urban type boot/shoe that I could wear with jeans and walk around without having to get changed etc and these do the trick very well. Not had chance to se how waterproof these are yet but so far they are very comfy, look good with casual clothes and fit well. Well worth buying.

Reason for only 3 stars is part of the shoe on the inside digs into my foot and can be very uncomfortable, it's only on the one shoe so it could just be that I got unlucky because putting my hand into them the way the inside is put together slightly different on each shoe and it's that part that digs in. Once worn in it is not as bad but still present.

All-Day Trainers Built for the Bike

Feel like normal trainers, but with the protection you need on the bike. Comfortable to wear all day, good grip, and smart enough to keep on when you’re off the bike. Covered a couple thousand miles in them, and they still look great.

The Alpinestars J-6 Waterproof shoe (Cat 2 CE certified to 89/686.ECC EU Directive) boasts a lightweight, street-styled upper combining full grain leather and suede for optimised comfort, durability and look. Waterproofing is afforded by a waterproof membrane subtly built into the chassis for 100 per cent performance against wet penetration. The top tongue and collar are constructed from leather for enhanced comfort, durability and luxurious feel. Metal eyelet lacing closure on instep for an easy, secure and comfortable fit. For all-around strategic protection and flexibility in key areas, dual density ergonomic MX-derived ankle and heel protectors are applied between the upper and padded lining while padding on the tongue and heel area provides high levels of comfort and fit around the ankle and instep. Moulded to the upper is an advanced rubber compound cup sole for stability, grip, support and durability. A reinforced midsole is inserted between the upper and the sole for structural strength and durability. The removable, replaceable and anatomically profiled EVA and Lycra footbed is for added comfort and support.
Metal logo detailing logos and patterning give the boot a contemporary styling feel. Finally, the internal toe box and heel counter reinforcement are layered under the upper for a more ergonomic design.
