Advice & Guides With protection for your feet (but not ankles) riding trainers are for those easy days out and about
Customers generally praised the boots for their comfort, style, and durability, with some highlighting their waterproof capabilities and protective features. Many found them suitable for both riding and casual use, noting their comfortable fit even after prolonged wear. A few mentioned initial tightness, which eases with use. While some suggested improvements such as lace cleats or a Velcro strap, the overall sentiment was positive, with most customers recommending them for their quality and functionality, marking them as good value for money.
Comfort, safety and waterproof all rolled into one. Wish I bought them last year.
These are probably some of the most expensive shoes I’ve ever bought so expected a lot more. Protection is minimal. They are comfortable but seem just like regular trainers rather than riding shoes. The top of the left shoe is already wearing away and damaged after ~50 miles of riding from gear shifting. I have a pair VANS that have more protection and no damage from more riding. If they were £100 cheaper they would be a decent pair of shoes but there are much better options out there. Would not buy alpinestars gear again after these.
Alpinestars produce good quality products, and the fit is ideal for me.
It would however be nice to have some additional material on the upper to protect against ware from the gear change lever
Not used them yet but very well made and look nice. Purposely went for a darker sole as white will get rotten after a few rides. I am a size 11 but went half a size up as a precaution but they felt massively oversized. Now have an 11 and they are a snug fit with thin socks on and a little play left inside the boot, and tbf they are summer boots and would not expect to have thick pair of woolies on. As with new boots little stiff but sure they will soften up over time. Overall very happy with them.
Top service yet again from Sportsbikeshop team hence why you are always my first port of call when buying bike stuff.
I wanted motorcycle boots that give me decent protection, are waterproof, and if I want to wear them all day are comfortable but don't stand out as being biker boots. These Alpinestars J-6 tick all those boxes.
Worn with a pair of discrete motorbike jeans, it takes a serious look to know you've just jumped off your trusty bike. Sometimes that suits me!
Alot of good reviews but I found them abit uncomfortable. They just dug into my ankle
I’m surprised how comfortable these are and they deal with the rain very well.
I purchased these to replace my larger alpinestars boots for the warmer days and shorter rides. Not only do they look great with casual motorbike gear you can wear them all day as normal shoes. The waterproofing works well and my feet remained dry.
I originally ordered a size too small but as always sportsbikeshop made the replacement easy pain free and fast.
Yet to try on the bike but fit well and very comfortable.
Its not my first choice originally because of the price, but I bought if after I tried it, so comfortable, I think comfort is important in a long ride.
Cushioning and comfort is great.
Materials are high level
Nothing to dislike
On trend retro trainers with built in protection and waterproof- excellent!!!
The quality of these boots are exceptional they are very comfortable. These are my second pair of alpine stars and would take a lot for me to change. The service as we all know from sportsbikeshop was A++++
Fits true to size. Boots are comfy and feel sturdy. Style makes them look like a casual high top and not like riding shoes which is a nice touch.
Tried around 20 different pairs of boots and ankle boots on before trying these.
Fit was so much better and comfortable to walk in.
Have worn on a couple of rides now.
Would highly recommend ?
Brought these for my dad as a gift he’s had a few pairs now he really likes them :)
Comfortable and light weight. Doesn't look like a motorcycle boot so can be worn around comfortably when not riding and matches with riding gear nicely
My second pair of J-6 boots as fancied a different colour. Well made and good value (bought in sale). I found that I need to go one full size up as with thick socks the boots are a little tight otherwise. Even half a size up wasn't quite enough for me.
