Merlin Neptune 2 WP Textile Trousers - Navy

I have not tried these in the wet, however they are nice and warm and feel like they are very good quality. I am a 32 waist and ordered a medium size. They are just ok on the waist but the legs are very wide and roomy, so I suggest getting a smaller size or some braces like I have had to do..

Trousers seemed fine first ride with them on and pretty comfortable albeit they seem to have an excess of material around the bottom of the legs. This required folding right back to prevent flapping in the wind and was very bulky/unsightly. Biggest problem for me on returning from my ride was that I lent across the front of my bike to couple up the battery conditioner and inadvertently rested my knee on the exhaust header which instantly burnt through the plastic material right through to the knee protector. Result was, I had to throw them in the bin after just one ride!

I'm giving these a 4 star because they do size big. 99% of the time size large pants fit me spot on , I'm 5'11" ,14 stone, 34 waist, and the large were way to big. Exchanged for a medium which are spot on. Still a little baggy off the bike but that makes them really comfortable on the bike. Quality and finish is very good, but obviously this light colour does show up the dirt and grime compared to a darker variants.
