Short leather gloves are great for towns, tours and warm riding days. Here are the five key contenders for £70 or less…
Customers are largely impressed with the comfort, protection, and quality of these summer gloves. Many highlight excellent features like hard and soft protection, floating knuckles, and Kevlar lining. Feedback suggests they are ready to use straight away, with little to no need for breaking in. Some noted issues with sizing and minor inconveniences, such as slightly large finger material. Overall, the gloves provide excellent value and performance, especially given their reasonable price. Highly recommended.
Really great gloves for the price, great safety rating so feel protected. Comfortable and flexible. Look great too, very happy.
Great gloves, really good quality kevlar lined, and a great price.they must be good because they wear them in BSB,only negative on a personal opinion is they do look a bit cheap compared to alpinestars for example, other than that,if yr on a budget then all good.
Comfy gloves, true to size. Not sold as waterproof but hold off light showers easily enough following a Nikwax leather spray
Great quality & a snug fit & good ventilation.
Love my RST Tractech Evo 4 Short Gloves in White! They’re super comfy, fit perfectly, and the grip is awesome for riding. The leather feels tough and I enjoy all the protection features. Can't beat the price either, totally worth it - 5 stars!
Soft plush leather, equipped with all the required protection. A nice short summer glove top quality from RST as always.
Lovely comfortable Gloves
These rst short gloves are ideal for if you dont like gloves going up your forearm. . Comfortable. Excellent fit. Also many gloves are only made in sizes for longer fingers but these are snug.
These gloves are warm & comfortable. They fit well & offer a good level of protection.
Very protective, with lots of armour and thick leather (which takes a short while to bed in). I was more interested in protection than coolness in summer, and wanted a scaphoid protector. Not the coolest, but the airflow is there, and slightly sweaty hands only occurred above 28°c.
Make sure you try before you buy, particularly finger length and width of the palm.
I saw these gloves recommended in Ride magazine and they looked much more robust than my other summer wear and they certainly are. Whilst clearly still a well vented glove they do have high levels of protection and a quality leather construction, albeit maybe the fingers are a little on the long side. However, even after three rides in them they are definitely my go to choice and the leather is softening up nicely. Strong recommendation for the performance of these keenly priced gloves
Excellent summer gloves!! Very comfortable, good feel for controls & have plenty of protection.
The gloves are very comfortable and have been great for summer riding.
I got these because my Current Summer Gloves may not give me the required protection (Although they have the same CE Rating).
Thicker than my Current Summer Gloves, but not too bulky, so it is easy to operate all the controls (The Gloves should also loosen up with further use, so they will get even more flexible). They fit well on my Tiny Hands (Small) and are Comfortable. Great Levels of Hard and Soft Protection.
I would recommend these as a Good Summer 'Shortie' Glove. Shame they don't do them in Brown for the 'Retro' Rider.
Excellent pair of gloves.
Most summer gloves are thin material, these are more substantial offering better protection without being bulky around the throttle.
Really good armour points on knuckles & finger joints
Great little leather blade on the thumbs for sorting rain on visors.
The wrist cuff is not bulky so goes under jacket sleeves really easy but the fastening together with the cuff gives excellent wrist support.
1st tested on a warm sunny, but windy day. Couldn't feel much of a breeze through them but hands still didn't overheat either
Brilliant bit of kit
These are very comfortable summer gloves with ample protection. Not worn them a lot yet so can't comment on longevity but a great glove at a great price.
Needed some new short summer gloves as my Alpinestars had worn out. Went for these as I know RST gloves fit my hand shape well.
Gloves fitted well straight away, just needing to get used to the joined little finger. Great feedback through them!
Would recommend.
I wanted a shorter glove that provided maximum protection combined with comfort at a reasonable price,
These gloves fit the bill! Fit is good and finger length is good.
My new go to gloves
Made with both full-grain cowhide and kangaroo leather, these gloves feature a CE carbon knuckle protector for impact protection, aramid fibre on the palm stitching and underlay, along with double layer kangaroo leather and an RST palm slider. The double wrist and cuff closure offers a secure fit and the aramid fibre lining throughout the rest of the glove prevents tearing.
