Alpinestars Andes V3 Drystar Textile Jacket - Forest Military Green

Good quality and value jacket. Made even better by Sportsbikeshop Pricematch. Comfortable with a good few pockets.

I wear a 36 or 38 jacket and the size small fits perfectly, with a jumper on over t-shirt or base layer. I've ridden around 300 miles so far in wet weather and stayed perfectly dry. There are plenty of pockets and a snug yet comfortable fastening around the neck. The removable liner is a great feature to set the jacket up for the temperature conditions. The armour to the shoulders and elbows feels very discreet and there's an accessible pocket for a back protector. Great service and lightning quick delivery from SBS.

This is the second Andes jacket I have bought the other is black and bought it 10 years ago and is great wanted a summer jacket so chose this V3 no regrets some great improvements, very comfortable, did buy the CE 2 back protector £50 well spent

I've owned various Alpinestars kit over the last 8 years including the original Andes Drystar outfit. Not been disappointed yet. This looks well made.

Comfortable, good fit, light and at a very good price. Has all the pockets you will ever need. Not used in the wet but reading other reviews I have nothing to worry about

The Andes V3 is comfortable to wear and has good adjustments for fit. I feels well made. On my first ride in decidedly chilly conditions, it kept me warm. I haven't tried its waterproofness yet, but other reports say it performs very well.
One weird thing is the way you remove the elbow and shoulder armour. I could not find a way in, but Ray Coulson in Sportsbikeshop customer care provided the solution: you have to go to the inside bottom of the jacket and below the zip to attach the jacket to jeans is another zip - not exactly easy to see. You unzip this and work your way through the lining to get to the armour. To be honest, it's fiddly, awkward and the most ridiculous access to armour I have ever come across. Having said that, it's more of an annoyance than a serious problem.

Superb jacket, great looks.
Warm in use, no draughty nooks.
Lots of pockets of varying sizes to suit phone, wallet, maps etc.
Velcro flaps keep everything in place, quality zippers.
I can find no downsides.

The only gripe I have is with the sizing. However, Sportsbikeshop make it so easy to return items, although it took a while, the shopping experience was a breeze. The sizing is way off. I'm a 42inch chest and needed an XL jacket.

Excellent quality jacket. Fit is on the small side, I normally take a large, had to go X-LARGE. Good ventilation and waterproof too! Can't go wrong for this money.

Really warm not tried waterproofing yet.

Had been looking for Adventure/Touring jacket to replace my old wax proof. For the price the Andes V3 seemed to fit the bill. I'm 5'9" with a 47-48" chest, so decided to size up to 3XL (as per several reviews). The sleeves are a little long but otherwise it's a great fit. The Velcro straps at cuffs and forearms along with the press stud adjustment on upper arm took care of the arm fit issue. Quality and finish are very good at the price point. Comfortable to ride in and nice and warm on winter days. Yet to test its waterproofing but I have no doubt it'll perform well. When I ordered there was a little confusion over stock but a phone call to customer service quickly resolved the issue. Great service as ever! As a result I seldom buy my equipment from anywhere else.

I had the version 1 of these which had given 10 years of service
Version 3 had many detail and quality improvements
Order 1 size larger than your t shirt size and there will be room for base layer etc underneath
