If it feels like armour in your bike kit then the law demands it is actually proper, protective armour. Here's how to tell how effective your impact protection is...
Good fit
Great quality
I bought the extra hip protection too
Great price reduction too
All the usual top service from SBS
Bought these jeans with the reassurance that I was able to return them if they didn't fit etc... Have to say sizing was great and the jeans themselves are a fantastic product which was made all the better by the quick delivery and very real price paid!
Well made. Looks really good. Would go for a size up. Expensive. But quality comes at a price...
These jeans arrived the next day after ordering, they look great and fit really well, a little long in the leg but comfortable. The armour in the knee is very flexible and unobtrusive but will upgrade to level 2. No hip armour which is a disappointment when considering price of jeans will buy similar to knee armour. Overall a great Jean thanks sportsbikeshop..
Sized perfectly for me in 32 short. well made and generous deep pockets. perfect if you want to miss a round at the pub! Seriously though. these are worth the money. wasn't sure about the elasticated hems on the ankle, button a convert as they have enough to go over any of my boots and keep the draughts at bay.
Excellent quality trousers and outstanding customer care and support
Ok, so first we have to recognise these are jeans - they aren't waterproof and they aren't the kind of ultra-protection you'd use to go racing in. Ok, we good now? Right.
So these are very comfortable out of the bag - the leg length is good and the elasticated ankle cuffs mean that this length doesn't get in your way. Those cuffs do mean that they won't go over most boots, and are intended for either short boots or to go inside.
The pockets are plentiful and of a usable size, though you won't necessarily get very long items in them (e.g. a sunglasses case was too long). Use for small items you need to keep handy and you'll be fine.
As for the camp style - I love it. A nice switch-up from blue denim or black textile. Yes, other colours are available and this is one example. It looks good around town, doesn't clash with much (unless you have a different camp-pattern jacket I suppose) and the casual style works on and off the bike.
Armour is included for the knees but not the hips, though there are pockets to add it. The armour that you get is the Richa favourite D30 which is light and flexible.
All in all they are a good piece of kit that I hope will last me a long time. Build quality suggests they will :)
Not my first pair of Richa trousers and I'm sure it wont be my last, great fit, comfortable and excellent quality, only one down side there was no hip armour included which was a shame, usual great service from sportsbikeshop.
Picked up a pair in the recent sale, good fit, true to size supplied with knee armour but no hip armour unfortunately. Great stuff
I would rate these excellent for style and comfort is mostly excellent, but I have to point out the velcro for the kneepads could have been better designed and placed. I've had to dive into them a number of times and readjust so the hard pointy bits don't keep digging into my knee. It's easy to get your sock caught on them when putting them on too. I don't have the same issue with any other trousers. I'm still very happy with my purchase.
