Nifty little feature

My first pair of motorbike 'shoes', I've always had boots. What always put me off buying motorbike shoes was the laces, too many stories of them being tangled around the footpegs at the lights, yes these have laces, but, they have a nifty feature that sold it for me. When you tie your laces on these, there is an elasticated cord you pull from one side over the bows and it hooks onto the other side, no more flapping laces! Way better than these velcro ones. I also like the fact they don't have a gear lever pad on top of the front of the shoe, they just look like normal trainers, which is the whole point to this sort of footwear. Why manufacturers make casual looking shoes and then slap a big gear lever pad on top is beyond me, not here however.
They are sturdy enough for what they are, the heel cup is reinforced and there is padding for the ankle bones.

They are comfortable yet have sturdy soles with good grip. Well insulated from gear lever and not showing early signs of marking but only a couple of hundred miles so far. The laces are very long but can be retained under the elastic top closure.

I had some issues with correct sizing, and had to send back my order a few times (Italian sizing?), but SBS have a hassle-free returns policy.
Once I got the correct size, I'm really pleased with the boots. Sturdy and better quality than I anticipated.
