Great pinlock internal visor fantastic price at Sportsbikeshop, I arrived at Leeds branch. The staff welcomed us all and made us a hot drink, not only did I purchase the pinlock visor, the visor was stripped cleaned, seals lubed, rain repellent spray put on the visor, my helmet is the best it s been, Thank you Steph at Leeds, Sportsbikeshop, absolutely first class service, will visit again.

The Pinlock visor doesn't seem to be scratch-resistant so needs to be wiped very carefully once fitted. It snaps in easily and works a treat.

This is my second one in less than 2000 miles of riding. Not daily! Only about 10 rides in total.
It was where the pins fasten either side that the plastic started to warp and bend out of shape, leading to the pinlock not sealing against the visor.
Fitted to a SCHUBERTH E2 helmet.
Let’s see if this one does any better.

It’s a bit of a pest to seat it correctly without bending the ends around the locating pins. Take your time and adjust the pins to give the widest setting first. Clean with a soft cloth as they seem to scratch easily. Works well once fitted properly.

This is yet another pinlock and visor for the C5 as the first were replaced under warranty for the visor failing to close correctly and the pinlock being unable to seal. This seems to seal but it isn’t easy like the Arai or Shoei. Won’t be buying another Schuberth.

My 4th of these pinlock inserts, across 2 Schuberth E2 helmets, over just 2 months and the longest it lasted before warping and separating at the sides was 1 week. The first came pre-installed with the first helmet. That helmet returned due to leaking visor and pinlock that couldn't be sealed. The second came pre-installed with the second helmet; that helmet now can't be returned because it took just over 30 days before that visor leaked. Can't be corrected. In that time the pinlock wouldn't seal so SBS replaced it for free, fitted by SBS staff in Leeds store, pins to full tension, sealed perfectly. 1 week later the replacement insert has warped and separated. So SBS sent a replacement in the post for me to fit. Received, sealed perfectly with pins at zero tension. 1 week later the new insert has warped and separated. So now, unable to return the helmet and not willing to spend anymore on this awful helmet, I have butchered the visor and insert on a supposed premium helmet. DO NOT BUY A SCHUBERTH E2 HELMET. You will find out it is dreadful in cold and rain. No wonder the promo video is in glorious sunshine. SBS are brilliant but this helmet and pinlock is awful and there's nothing more SBS can do and Schuberth won't admit a problem.
