If it feels like armour in your bike kit then the law demands it is actually proper, protective armour. Here's how to tell how effective your impact protection is...
Great product totally 10/10 what else would u expect from revit
and great service from the sports bike shop will definitely 10/10 be using them again many thanks
Waterproof it certainly is! Bought for a touring holiday to Spain and France where the rain comes in downpours. With the air flaps open, I also felt comfortable in 37 degrees sun while riding!
An obvious upgrade in quality to the Horizon 2 trousers and competitively priced too.
Excellent service and consideration from SBS with particular reference to Neil C. whose very knowledgeable and helpful.
Thanks again.
Being short in the leg, this were suggested as the best fit for me. Can confirm that they are an excellent fit but have not yet tried them in the rain!!
Great trousers , correct sizing too
Very happy with the SBS service as always.
Trousers feel great quality, need to thoroughly test them but I have no doubt they'll do well. Water seems to bead and run off really well so far.
Great service from Sportsbikeshop in Bristol as always.
I'm a 34 waste and 32 leg, the large fitted perfectly.
Measure yourself and follow the sizing charts on the Rev'it website
I actually prefer the pant over the jacket. Very comfortable on the bike and equally comfortable off the bike as it seems i can spend a long time in them without getting hot.
They feel good, they are warm and have kept me dry. I'd have rated 5 if the hip armour wasn't level 1.
As always superb service from sportsbikeshop.
These trousers are very comfortable... I spend all day in them instructing. The vents are direct to body so work very well and help mitigate the stuffy feeling laminates cause. After trying two pairs of mondials this is very noticeable. They seem hard wearing, the materials used are decent and are so far very resistant to water. They seem to come up a smidge long but not so it's a problem.
The 'doing up button' doesn't like it when you've eaten a large pizza and could be stronger. But then it's an incentive to eat less...
Highly recommended product and has swayed me towards other Rev'it products.
Purchased to compliment the matching jacket I bought a few months ago, replacing aging leathers.
Pleased so far with the quality, feel & performance in all weathers, so no reason not to give top marks!
Usual excellent service from SBS Bristol, thank you Fabrizio & team.
Rev'it are known as a quality brand and on receiving the trousers looked well made. Unfortunately the first outing was in heavy rain, and they leaked after 10 minutes. A fault was acknowledged and they were quickly replaced with a new pair, which also leaked in heavy rain though not as badly. My third pair experienced very heavy rain in Spain, and leaked again.
SBS were superb throughout, I cannot fault their customer service and speed to try to resolve issues, but the product kept leaving them down.
I won't be buying Rev'it, but anything I buy in the future will definitely be through SBS.
Fits well and is comfortable on/off bike. Waterproof so far.
Lighter, more comfortable and cheaper than my previous pair of Rev'it trousers.
What's not to like?
I am 180cm (5'11) and slim build, 32 waist, 32 inseem. I bought a size M with enough adjustment on the waist to grow or shrink. the length sits a bit long stood, but on the bike sits perfect.
August 2022 I had an off while wearing the Rev'it Horizon 2. The incident was around 50mph on a B road and I was able to walk away with broken ribs and lacerations to my knee. Around the knee area the trousers ripped and opened, the knee armour moved exposing my knee to the road. before the incident I was unaware the knee armour was adjustable which might have saved some damage. inspecting the gear after the crash I noticed the velcro adjustment.
Why buy the horizon 3?
The horizon 2 went through some heavy storms and never leaked. So I know the waterproofing works.
I hope not to crash test it but Inspecting the trousers the knee armour area is much improved and knowing it is adjustable feels me with confidence the same will not happen again, I blame myself for not adjusting it.
Differences between horizon 2
the zip was 2/3 it is now 3/4
the 2 had magnets to keep the vents open where as these are metal poppers I preferred the magnets.
the clip to do up on the horizon 2 was fiddly and replaced with a popper on the 3, this is better.
The pockets are very similar to the 2 and can only really be used when off the bike or for very small items.
The 3 is much softer to the touch making it more comfortable, the 2 feels more crinkly/stiff.
