Unlike earlier tank mounts I've had, this one has no metal reinforcing plate. However the plastic part is noticeably thicker. Item been in use now for a few months and seems robust enough.

Does what it's supposed to do

Holds tank bag in place, feels solid unlike the Honda version. Would recommend this to pair with the tank bag

Tanklok V-Strom 800DE

Does what it says on the tin, simple easy installation. The fitting on the V-Strom 800DE is a little farther forward so bars can make contact with bag (even smaller ones) at full lock but otherwise no issues.
