Givi E199 Fibreglass Flask Support

I bought this along with the matching flask (STF500S) so that I didn't have to lug my topbox around on a rideout purely so I can take a drink with me.
It mounted onto my OEM crash bars quite well with the supplied fixings and so far has yet to move at all.
The only problem I've had is with the release catch for the flask. There is no indent for it to snap into and lock reasonably secure, it relies on friction only...so when you're riding down the road, vibration or a sufficient bump can pop it loose without warning and send your flask bouncing down the road. I fixed this by carefully carving an indent of my own, which has so far completely fixed the issue. I wish this had been manufactured into the design of the side supports in the first place.
It's also become a handy place to hold a beer can when working on that side of my bike!

This is a great flask holder, obviously designed only for the Give thermo flask. Its good that it is adaptable for mounting on either panniers or frame/crash bars with the mounting kit supplied.
Only the one criticism, the hole where the mounting bolts go through, there needs a bung of some description to cover the bolt heads, the bolts are exposed to the elements and in time will show signs of rust.

Bought a pair of these to hold the stainless flasks for recent trip to Spain.
Well made and easy to fit to crash bars.
Fact that they are lockable is handy when leaving bike unattended.
If I was to anything about them it would be to have A- a bigger hole to get lock through and B- wish they had a soft foam or rubber lining to inside of clamp as the engine vibration turn the flasks and marks them… little ocd maybe.

Fantastic holder for givi flask. Can be mounted just about any where with fitting brackets supplied. Fitted on crash bars on tiger 900.
Very sturdy and easy to remove flask when needed.
