Lightweight and very comfortable as it's pre shaped. G1 is for women's jackets and smaller men's sizes (I think up to EU48), G2 is for men's EU50 and up. Despite the shape being different to the newer Dainese flexible protectors this fit fine in a new jacket.

Fancy armour

It is light and seems well designed. I instinctively wanted to put it in the other way up, as it is shaped a bit different from some others (the Dainese moo cow needs to be the correct way up). My Dainese Avro Jacket feels just as comfortable when the back insert is added. The ribbing is quite pronounced, so think it is best taken out if you are rubbing wax onto the back panel of the jacket.

I was a bit skeptical on the size of this at first. I'm 188cm and ordered a G2 out of safety, but wasn't convinced the length of the item would cover my entire spine. Actually, it covers almost all of it, without being too bulky. It fits perfectly in my Dainese Hawker jacket, and even if I can definitely tell it's there, it's never uncomfortable or too present. Recommended.
It goes without saying, shipping and customer service from Sportsbikeshop is top notch as per usual.

I ordered this back protection for my new Dainese D-dry jacket after a quick and easy search on the website. I'm really pleased with the quality of the product, it's very rigid plastic back which allows me to still move around easily makes me feel super safe.
