Alpinestars Nucleon KR-2 Back Protector - Black / Red

I have used a number of different back protectors over the years (including inserts), however, this by far has to be the by far the more superior product. I was initially a bit sceptical as the back protector felt a little stiff and slightly thicker than I expected but after wearing it in slightly, it fit like a glove. Furthermore, I also purchased the Alpinestars Nucleon KR-C Chest Protector (which clips on to the back protector and is also highly recommended) and both fit perfectly under my leathers (which are quite fitted) without being intrusive or uncomfortable at all. I also recently learnt that the newer Alpinestars 1 piece suit clip on to this back protector maximising protection and ensuring the protector is held in the best place, I have to say though, even without the integration the fit was perfect and the adjustable straps give you the option to wear as tight or loosely as you like.

I was initially sceptical about the price as I thought it might be one of those 'pay for brand' rather than quality type products but was pleasantly surprised. Definitely good value and I would highly recommend both the back protector alongside the chest protector. The great service received from sportsbikeshop also made this an all round excellent purchase.
