Rev'it Voltiac 3 H2O Textile Jacket - Black / Silver

Watched Tony's video from Sportsbikeshop's Youtube channel and this was recommended as an honourable mention. Got it as the price was under £200.

Have used it for over a month now and been hit with glorious sunshine, and ridden through horrible, driving rain and anything in between -- welcome to spring!

It's not the best hot weather jacket even with the vents, and I still get water come in through the collar if I'm out long enough, but would I trade it for another for daily use? No.

It's perfect for ever-changing conditions and Rev'it have managed to balance price, design, and materials to suit the intended use case of this jacket well. The warm liner does add a significant amount of insulation (riding around 10C ambient temps), the main fabric does not allow water through, and the pockets are sufficient to carry a phone, wallet, keys, gloves, earplugs and a buff if I'm off the bike. In hot weather, I have rolled the sleeve cuffs up to allow airflow and it works great for that.

If pairing with other Rev'it bottoms, the short zip attachment makes it easy to connect and feels secure. The armour is also easy to remove.

Downsides are it's a jack(et) of all trades and not outstanding in any one area; could do with more venting options, but I gather that would bump the price up; the velcro closure for the back protector does tend to rub against my back if I'm just in a T-shirt and may be uncomfortable sometimes, however, this depends on the layers I'm wearing underneath and isn't always an issue. One last issue is the cuff adjusters had some fraying but I believe it's from manufacturing where the seams were not pinked appropriately and it was quickly resolved running a lighter flame over the edge to seal the frays.

Great jacket for the price I had to size up usually a large but had to go with an XL on this one
