RST S1 CE Mesh Textile Jacket - Black

Bought for a September trip to south of France/Basque/Pyrenees. Packs up to small volume to fit into pannier bag with all the other clart . Waterproof liner good, and in hindsight would probably have done for all the trip by itself rather than worrying about deteriorating weather as we headed back to blighty
Feels and looks quality like all the other RST gear I've got. Armour felt good. I use a Helite so wasn't bothered about lack of back pad. Mesh construction does as you expect but to, a lot cooler than my regular jacket (Rukka) but still ok when at altitude in the Pyrenees ( can layer anyway if needed. Cuffs are tight but just undo the velcro. Internal pocket will take a phone ok.. Size is correct. . Highly recommended

Yep, great jacket, absolutely cannot complain about this at all.
Keeps you cool in the heat but is equally warm enough with the liner inside with nothing more than a t shirt underneath.
This will replace my normal riding jacket for the most of the time which is spot on, not having to worry if the right choice has been made before setting off for the day.
Initially bought for a trip to Spain but I will wear it most of the time here in the UK

Bought this jacket after reading some of the reviews, and wish I had bought it sooner, especially considering the heatwaves we are having. Comes with shoulder/ elbow armour and a detachable inner rain jacket, jacket that when rolled up can fit in a small tail pack or rucksack, even a pocket at a push. I’ve worn the jacket on a recent ride to Matlock on a very hot day, and found it very comfortable to wear, and lets plenty of air get through at the same time still feeling substantial. The only downside for me, is that I feel the side pockets could be a little deeper, other than that, it’s one of the best buys I have made recently, at a great price and is my go to jacket.

I was looking for a lightweight mesh summer jacket that contained a decent amount of armour & protection, after a few weeks of research this sounded like it ticked all my boxes. I always find RST good value & quality products, tried this on to confirm size which was L normally I am XL in RST jackets, SBS price matched and delivered impeccable service as always. After a couple of ride outs very pleased exactly what I was looking for, keeps you nice and cool but still feels like it would protect well, comes with a waterproof/windproof liner which I remove when it gets warmer. Fitted the back protector from my other RST jacket..........perfect very pleased.

This jacket is superb , the built in armour fits to your body contours well (not supplied with back protector) . Now in summer mode with the liner out it is nice out on the hot weather rides it's nice and cool , with the inner liner in , this will improve the jacket's warmth for the coming cooler days . Inside there is two inner pockets one which zips up and on the outside two pockets with zips . I will recommend this jacket to all style of riders

Purchased this as was boiling on the day didn’t go to shop for a jacket but glad I did perfect for summer riding very cool even in 30+ heat very well made for the price and even has waterproof removable inner jacket if you get caught out in rain would 100% recommend

This is a great mesh jacket for the hot weather but the "waterproof" lining does not work

Rode for ten days in 30 plus degree this jacket performs brilliantly, we also had rain the inner jacket kept the rain out and kept me warm, unfortunately while away the pocket developed a hole, so on return I contacted the sports bike shop, returned on the Saturday and new jacket with me on the Wednesday so well impressed, also this jacket has nice sturdy zips on it, a very happy customer.

The airflow is fantastic—perfect for warmer rides—while still feeling sturdy and protective. The fit is spot on, and the design looks sleek and modern. Great value for a CE-rated jacket. Highly recommend for summer riding!

Bought for an upcoming trip to the south of france, but it's been really welcome with the recent heatwave we have had, nice and light and you can feel the air coming through when moving, fots really well and zips to my trousers for safety, no back protection as there is a huge vent at the back but I took one out of another jacket and put it in the pocket for it, not had the need to use the inner jacket yet all in all it's a great jacket for the money and received with the usual good service from sportsbikeshop

We have become RST fans over the years, RST apears well made and never disapoints, Add the excellent service and price we recieve from Sportsbikeshop its a great outcome.

This jacket is very smart and well made comfortable fit there is a pocket for back protector but not supplied.

I have tried this jacket in 28 degree's C and it was fantastic. It is lightweight and gives great airflow and has a good level of protection. In my opinion this is the difference between having a good summer ride and a great summer ride. Quality is great and fits really comfortably.
