TCX Hero 2 Waterproof Boots - Black

Excellent pair of boots. They’re really comfortable straight out of the box and feel very well-made. I also like that they look good both on and off the bike with a nice classic style.

Overall, a great mix of comfort, protection, and everyday practicality. I’d definitely recommend them.

Original and outstanding TCX Hero boot is tough to beat. I would have bought another pair if they were still available. These Hero 2 boots aren't better, just a couple of minor changes. Positives: very comfortable for all-day use right out of the box; great quality. Negatives (compared to original): TCX emblem at upper rear is now a metallic slightly protruding piece, but will covered by jeans so not a big deal. Front of boots look slightly wider...don't look quite as good to me.

Comfy on and off the bike, the zip makes them easy to get on and off and they’re definitely waterproof.

I had original TCX hero boots and loved them, so comfy for all day rides, decided to upgrade, looked at all different brands but decided to go with Hero 2 because I couldn’t fault originals, Hero 2 has made tweeks and improved an already excellent boot, better ankle protection, but straight from the box they felt like I’ve had them years

I love these boots, they are a nice soft leather & don't feel bulky or restrictive when changing gear, nice wide fitting & excellent to walk in. I'm a size 8.5 & ordered a 43 & they fit perfect. They look ok wearing as normal boots aswell.

The laces on one boot frayed to almost non existence in less than 2 months. The leather on the front of the boot and some other areas has lost its texture and gone completely smooth and has already started to thin. They have also scuffed very easily in some areas. Not the quality of a boot that cost over £200. These boots are definitely not going to last multiple years.

Really good boots, great fit and they look great, comfortable and good quality leather. Price is very reasonable and got delivered the very next day. Can't fault the service.

Having shopped around and done my homework, I came up with these beauties. Straight out the box my first impressions was , I thought it would be heavier, but no , just right.! That makes it fit perfectly, and straight feel you could go on a long walk.
I wouldn’t personally wear these for touring, but as a cool pair of boots for short journeys or just walking down to the pub, they are spot on.
The fit is not for wide feet though, just to keep that in mind.
All in all, a hell of a boot, not the cheapest, but with last and take the punishment and in my opinion will look even better when properly worn in.

I did not try them much on the bike yet, but had no issues of having 10km plus walking in the rain.
They feel good and quite wide, although I'd like to have them even wider. Size wise I used measure tape and TCX size guide.

The only issue I had is I order a pair and it has a couple of broken lace hooks, SBS replaced pair, as usual impeccable service, but... new pair also had a few lace hooks broken. I decided to keep the pair. The broken hooks are still usable, placed in a middle of the row and from distance looks as good as others. I don't think protection compromised with that issue.

I have now worn these in summer and in heavy rain and it has handled both perfectly. They are comfortable as soon as you put them on with no need for break in. I have even had to walk a fair few miles in them with no issues. Im tempted to buy a second pair in case TCX replace them with a different model!

I bought these for my upcoming ride to base of Himalayas and Ladakh valley all the way from south india. Planing to clock 7000 kms. I was looking for simple touring shoes and these fit my needs perfectly. Good protection and ease of use. Shoes are very comfortable indeed. True to size.

Very, very comfortable boots. There is some sort of fancy insole that transforms them from being nice boots into being wow boots. Ideal for walking as well as riding (which is why I bought them!).

So why not five stars? Three small but annoying niggles; The finish on the leather is nicely textured expect where it isn't. The boots were delivered with polish but not buffed so dust and dirt stuck to them from day one. And the laces started fraying within days of use suggesting the eyelets are rough or unfinished. These are small issues but totally preventable and quite unnecessary in boots of this price range.

Lovely soft but hardy leather uppers and great grippy sole that gives you confidence holding your bike.
