Good upgrade to my Richa jacket

I haven't been happy with the back armour in my Richa leather jacket, it looked like it was made of closed cell foam. Anyway I measured up and decided to give this Icon d30 a try and I'm so glad I did. I like the flexibility yet feel of safety that I never had with the standard armour and I consider the £30 cost very good value for money, another point is the d30 armour was a perfect fit. This gives me the opportunity to thank Sportsbikeshop yet again for Stirling service that they always provide, great work guys.

Fits snuggly into my Richa jacket and gives the impression it will absorb and support a high impact.
I'll hopefully never need it for real, but it's reassuring to know it's there and my wife thinks I'm being responsible so that's worth a lot in itself!

Replacement Back Protector

Have a Richa Jacket and when washing found that the back protector was damaged. (stuffing jacket into pannier) Measured the protector and found the D3O matched. Ordered Fitted and good to go.

Hard to find but worth it

I have a Richa jacket which came with the standard foam insert in the back and I wanted a bit more protection, but the only D30 pads that had the right shape and dimensions was the Icon D30 Viper in XL. It fits well and is comfortable to ride with. I can now ride with confidence that my back is now better protected.

D3O® impact protectors are made from an advanced patented polymer. They utilise intelligent molecules that lock together on impact. Because of this, the impact protector can be made thinner and lighter, making a jacket more comfortable and easier to wear. However, this decreased size does come at the expense of impact protection.
