Merlin D3O CE Viper Protector - Back

Just got second one even though The ghost back protector came out recently, I haven't so the need to buy The ghost because The viper does a great job.

This was purchased to go in my Merlin Brody riding shirt. I wanted something that wasn't too bulky which would look bulbous when worn. This is ideal as it is light and hardly noticeable, but still offers the D3O level of protection.

Fits perfectly in the jacket, is quite light and very flexible. Comfortable to wear.

Not the most robust back protector on the market, but I needed to fit the jacket I purchased. It was a little expensive compared to other top of the range protectors, but hopefully, I will never need to test it out. Overall It fits the jacket, and it is a bit of plastic shaped to fit.

Kept up to date by SBS as to small delay in order. Arrived within a week anyway and is just the job for a Merlin jacket (nice and thin, not bulky at all)

Bought to fit Merlin Perton jacket. Ordered into store & was able to try with jacket. Fits well in the pocket , covers a good area of the back. Comfortable when riding & much lighter than my old dianese one.

Bought this for the Merlin Hurley Hoody and it fits great, very flexible and is super comfortable.

Great product , very flexible and comfy to use. I have seen reviews quoting size issues. I have a Merlin Perton jacket in medium and it's a perfect fit. I also use an Alpine stars protector which although looks very similar is nothing like as flexible or comfy.

This product has a nice soft feel (until it is shocked when it goes hard temporarily) and is well ventilated so it should score 5 stars. Unfortunately as others have mentioned it is slightly to big for the pocket in my Merlin leather jacket so I will have to trim it down to make it fit. This will mean cutting off the tapered edge and this may make the protector visible on the outside of the jacket. This error in design is very disappointing

Great quality with a soft feel. But only 4 stars as its too big. Wont fit in an XXL Merln jacket. But it can be cut down quite easily.

Fits the Merlin Edale jacket I bought it for perfectly (jacket was size large). Has a nice rounded edge so it doesn't show through the jacket so much as a square edge would. Soft, flexible, light - it's D30 so everything you'd expect.

This replaces a hard protector that was both uncomfortable and made me look like Quasimodo but still offers the same category of protection. I have it in my Dianese Carve Master II. You can't even feel it so light and flexible. Also it was half the price of the hard protector. Very happy.
