Oxford Rainseal Over Jacket - Black / Fluo

In my experience this provides a 100% waterproof over jacket. I use it with a mesh jacket for those times when we all get caught out with the weather. Good high neck and fits well over your normal bike jacket. I went for the same size as my bike jacket and this fits well over the top with free movement around the shoulders etc.

Brought to my chest size, and fits well over a bulky leather. Nicely made, with a soft collar and stout velcro on the important bits. Was a little concerned about the fluorescent parts being too "dayglo", but in reality it looks fine, giving that extra visibility when you would need it in poor conditions. Packs well into the supplied bag. Luckily have not had to use in bad weather yet, but have no reason to doubt it's effectiveness. It will do everything I need from it, all at a good price. Service and delivery from sportsbikeshop was excellent.

I’ve been using the Oxford Rainseal Over Jacket in Bright for my rides, and it’s become my go-to for sudden downpours or dim evenings. It’s incredibly lightweight yet effectively waterproof and windproof, slipping easily over a textile jacket thanks to its roomy, “intelligently sized” cut. When headlights hit the reflective material, the jacket really lights up—terrific for nighttime visibility—and during the day it stays subtle enough without being garish.

A few minor quirks: the cuffs take a bit of fiddling to pull over your gloves, and there’s zero crash protection since it’s just an over-layer. But it packs down into a tiny pouch that fits right into a pannier or top-box, and it’s been great on longer stints in cool, wet weather. All in all, for under £70, it does exactly what it’s supposed to—keeps you dry, boosts your visibility, and disappears into a bag when the sun comes out.

Seems to be really well made. The sizing is as advertised - large fits over a large leather jacket. It also goes back its bag easily. I've not been out in heavy rain yet so you'll have to trust Ide on that.

Slipped up when I bought this it has NO pockets.
Not breathable at all I get very hot and swaeaty in it.

Size is spot on. Easily fits over outer wear. Not a 5 because the collar, although very comfortable, doesn’t hug the neck snug enough to keep water from going down the collar. I always wear a neck gator so that takes care of the collar issue. Good purchase!!

I have been using these jackets for some time now and have never been let down in the rain.....also excellent as a wind break in dry and cool weather. I use the same size as my leather jacket . It is large enough to use in a multilayer system. I had a slide a few weeks ago which trashed my last one but these are inexpensive enough to replace without breaking the bank. Highly recommended

Excellent fit and packs down well into a small pouch that's included with the jacket. I carry mine on every ride and its idea it its got a little colder or rain is threatened. I think some of the velcro could be sown in a little stronger but it's not supposed to be a full time jacket. It's an emergency device and considered in that role, it's unbeatable.
