Oxford Rainseal Over Jacket - Black / Fluo

This jacket has been bought as a replacement for my husbands old Oxford Rainseal jacket which is now starting to leak after serving him well for 4 years of constant use commuting to work in all weathers.

Sizes are generous. I bought oversized, but am wearing this over Knox armour vest and several layers no problem.
The cuff velcro pulled off the third time I wore it and as well as being poorly fixed, the tabs are too narrow and short.
Does well in driving rain.

Being new to biking I brought what I thought was a trusted name in the biker clothing arena.
Having taken my bike for its first 600 mile service on a frosty cold morning I thought about the visual for my ride - this jacket gave me that with the added benefit of wind cover.
Then picking the bike up - time for my first night ride 4:30pm in December, again I had the visual but as it started raining as well……. I was so pleased that I had gone for the name!!
I was obvious on my ride and once I had got home after a 7 mile ride in light, but constant rain….. I was dry as a bone ?

Worn this a couple of times and it does work - even over already waterproof textile jackets this does help and I appreciate the hi-vis sleeves and reflective details. I'm knocking a star off for no useful pockets or hood (which limits its use off the bike) and because I did pop the zip open once - it went back together OK with a bit of fiddling and seems fine now... but maybe not the most robust zip.

Very good fit, you don’t need to buy a bigger size! Fits nicely over regular riding Jacket. It has a nice zip, and Velcro fastenings. Perhaps in time if you were super heavy handed the Velcro could become loose. But I haven’t not experience this yet. Keeps you dry, and SEEN !

I bought this to replace my old Oxford overjacket, which though still waterproof, was tired after thousands of rainy miles. The design has been improved and updated. Why pay more when this is perfect

I brought this with the bottoms and like the bottoms I had no problems with very good.

Definitely waterproof and good fit, no need to order a larger size to go over your usual riding jacket. Highly reflective, as described, a bit more expensive than the plain/yellow rainseal waterproofs.

These Oxford waterproofs are great quality. I have them for my wife and myself.

So after reading a few reviews about the fact that this jacket was sized to fit over whatever size jacket you wear, as in if you wear medium you buy medium. We'll it's true in that it fits but the sleeves are too short. I'm 6'1" 75kg & wear medium. Luckily I wear my gloves over my sleeves in the winter so it's not too bad. Jacket holds the rain out & does a good job.
