Oxford’s cargo-style denim riding jeans deliver discreet looks, stretchy comfort and solid protection for everyday rides
Likes: Great fit as fabric is stretchy so no irritating flapping at speed. Appears to be well constructed.
Dislikes: In common with a lot of manufacturers there is an inadequate amount of belt loops at the back of the waist. Whether you wear a belt or braces with clip retention this is a bit of a nuisance. This is visible penny pinching on the behalf of the manufacturer. Stretchy fabric and heavy body armour, so it tends to slide it's way down your legs when walking.
You need some method of keeping the trousers up. Clamp style braces work but a more substantial waist band thickness would be a general improvement for these too.
These jeans are very comfortable and have a good stretch to them. The armour is a bit bulky, hence the 4 star, but i wouldn't let it put you off trying these as this can be swapped out and it doesnt make them uncomfortable. Nice and cool to wear on a summer ride.
These are a great fit overall. Certainly worth the extra money over jeans at around half the price (I sent two cheaper pairs back). That said, even the short leg option are a little long, but I can live with that. The stretch in the material is really clever and the armour sits well. You know Oxford is going to make a well made product and this is no exception.
The most comfortable bike jeans I’ve ever worn, your not even aware of the armour on the knees or hips, and the leg size is perfect, I’m 34w 34 leg these are described as 34w 34 leg and there perfect and don’t ride up boots when riding. Would highly recommend
Overall these jeans are excellent, they fit really well, even with the armour in them.
The stretch fabrics is generous and they are really comfortable. Would definitely buy these again. Also the delivery process is really quick, literally next day. Excellent service.
Very comfortable and fit well
The sizing was accurate.
These Jeans were just what I was looking for, something that would offer some protection and you could wear when not on the bike, I have proper leather trousers but find it a bit of a faff having to carry something to change in to. They are also much less restrictive, Only one very minor point is that there is no clear instructions on how to place the hip protection pads.
Also, as others have said they do come up a bit big and are also quite stretchy so order a size smaller. I did this and was happy I did otherwise I would have been sending them back to exchange for a smaller waist size. Great product and reasonably priced.
Good fit, comfortable, light Jeans. Not so much padding in the seat as thicker jeans.
Perfect fit, super stretchy. Ordered a 32 as other reviews stated these came up a little big, would say these fit like a 33 which is exactly what i wanted. These are extremely comfortable and the protection holds in the right place unlike some cheaper options I've ordered before. Just a shame black is the only colour available or i would be ordering more.
These are definitely on the large side so go down a size. Superb service from sportsbikeshop changing mine. Knee protection sits right but better with braces. Have worn them for work and very comfortable with loads of stretch.
I'm usually a 34 in jeans/trousers, but were far too big. Sportsbikeshop were amazing sorting out a smaller size and I'm very happy with their service and the jeans - perfect and great value!
