X-Lite X-552 Ultra Carbon - Hillside N-Com Orange

I had the previous 551 and really liked that helmet. I upgraded to the 522 and can feel the weight difference. There is similar low noise level as expected and the peak is fine but does squeak a bit. I felt the sun visor was a little flimsier when lowered but no major issue. The reason for loosing a star is the emergency removable cheek pads that remove themselves every tim you remove the helmet. On a recent 2000 mile trip it got more than a little annoying. Other than that a great helmet

Stunning Finnish and took my Cardo nicely, ear pockets fitted 44mm speaker's, snug fit but not uncomfortable. Visor ratchet system work really well to.

Had a few x-lite carbon helmets but now got an adventure bike so thought I would go for a peak and internal sun visor. Wind noise good and seal from the visor good. Can be a bit tricky to close the visor when fully open due to the peak but you get used to it, internal sun visor tab should be a little bigger. Build quality good and the internals for fitting speakers etc are very good, fitted my Cardo in no time with all the built in wire channels etc. I would have given it 5 but due to the visor being difficult to close and the internal sun visor closure tab should be a little bigger for gloves.
