HJC i100 - Beis Pink

I bought a helmet on line which ended up a bit tight. Visited the Norwich store, the staff were excellent nothing was too difficult for them, everyone was super helpful. They made the task of changing the helmet effortles.
My first purchase but definitely not my last. Well done to the Norwich staff.

The HJC i100 is a Stylish helmet , the controls/ switches are easily worked for the Flip-up chin guard , vents and tinted sun visor , it arrives with a Pinlock clear visor included and has a smooth matt finish to the outer Advanced Polycarbonate shell .

The not so good is ; It's slightly heavy in weight and the inside padding doesn't have much give with it for the on & off in use , it seems to be a quite tough inside padding which is fine when actually wearing but does not flex enough , as my normal size of helmet could not fit & had to be returned to exchange for the next size larger .

I originally ordered a medium but it was far too tight, even though I’m normally a medium, changed without any trouble ( as is the normal with such a great business like Sportsbikeshop) the lid is extremely comfortable and fits my head in a stable and cushioned fashion, the chin guard moves 180 degrees and sits well at the rear, no buffering from the wind, great internal sun visor and the pin lock system works excellently , the air con chin and head works well to keep head and face cool when fully closed, an excellent lid in great colours at an exceptional price, highly recommended !

Bought this helmet with £100 off the original price. It's an excellent fit and very comfortable. I love the flip on the helmet going all the way to the back which you can lock into place if you want to, also the visor automatically comes down after it's flipped back. It also comes with a pinlock. I think it's a great purchase.

Wanted to try a flip up, especially as you can ride with it open. Early days but build quality not bad but not as good as my old GT Air. Slightly noisy but no issue with earplugs. Is heavier but don’t really notice that in use. Very good for the price

Great helmet at a Great price

Firstly the good points about this helmet. It is light weight for a modular helmet, noise levels are not the best but pretty good again for a modular helmet. I find the sizing to be consistent with my previous HJC helmets. This package comes with a pinlock which is a bonus at this price.

The bad points, only one bad point, my helmet arrived with a damaged pinlock, as the box was in tact it must have been put into the box already damaged, HJC take more care in packaging. Luckily, I bought my helmet from SBS, so as soon as I went to fit the pinlock and saw the damage, I called SBS who said don't worry, we will send out a replacement straight away. Thankfully that arrived just 2 days later. Now that is exceptional service by any anyone's standards, thank you SBS.

When you open the face it leaves the visor down which is something that I really like.

wind noise is awful when going over 20mph I only got this helmet as a it was one of the better cheaper options

I bought this as I as looking for a flip over lid. I liked the colour so I opted for the Lorix Yellow. I read all the reviews and went up a size as I'm usually a size L with a 60cm crown. The XL was 60-61 cm so if I'd gone for my usual size I think it would have been a little too tight. The helmet is a bit on the heavy side but still very comfortable. The visor and flip over chin bar works well and the inner sun shade is a decent tint and has good coverage. For the price I'm really pleased especially with the massive discount from SBS.

We bought this for Wifey initialky fir a3 week tour if South Africa in early 2025. It worked perfectly and helped her cope with the heat, dust, torrential downpours, blinding sun and wind noise at silly speeds on those big mileage days.
It is now on light duties until our next big trip.
